(Request: Mipha x GN!Reader)

Mipha broke the lake's surface when she saw a familiar sight. Red and black, though a bit blurry through the water. She smiled up at the figure, easily staying afloat just with her legs and resting her arms on the water's surface, resting her chin on them.
"Hello my love! It's wonderful to see you!" She greeted with a gentle smile. "What brings you here today?" She tilted her head, noticing the look in her partner's eyes. Normally whenever Y/N visited, they had a bright look in their eyes. Today they looked...uncertain. Their eyes drifted from the distance to Mipha, gloves hands fidgeting.
"Just wanted to see you," they quietly said, sitting on the rocky lake shore. The Zora Champion could tell that something was weighing on her partner's mind, getting out of the water to sit next to them. She placed a hand on their shoulder gently, careful not to bump her wrist fin against their ear. Y/N rested their hand over hers, the fabric of their black glove softer than silk. "I've just been worryin' about you. I mean...it's kinda scary. Fighting an ancient evil, right?"
Mipha nodded slightly, churning the words over in her head before speaking. "Everything will be fine, darling." She quietly murmured, taking their hand to squeeze it reassuringly. "I'll come back to you and we can live together in peace. You, me, and Link...we'll all enjoy life together." Her voice was soft yet determined, wanting to make their partner believe these words. Seeing their scared eyes broke her heart.
For a moment they were silent, red tunic shifting with the breeze. "Please come back safely." Y/N mumbled. It wasn't a request or a question, but a plead. Mipha was about to reply when she saw the small Goddess symbol in their other hand. It wasn't a plea to her. She held their hand tighter in hers, looking out into the water.
There were storm clouds making their lazy way over.
