(A/N: this is my first time ever writing a legitimate story on Wattpad. If my grammar is ass, it Wattpad's fault not mine.)

( TW: language, graphic depictions of violence)

I looked down from on top of the apartment building, enjoying the strong gusts of wind.

I looked over the edge has the small groups of people going back forth on the sidewalk.

I took in a long deep breath and stepped back down onto the roof. I looked up at the dark sky trying to see if I could find any stars but there was just black and the moon. I'd never seen a real star anyways.

I grunted angrily and pulled a cigarette out of my pocket, lighting it. Stupid stars.

I opened the door to the staircase that went back inside. I went straight down to the first level and out onto the street. A few people gave me a dirty look as I flicked my ashes onto the ground.

I once had a little girl tell that it was bad for people to breath in the smoke. I told her to mind her damn business, which earned me a lecture from her mother.

I threw the cigarette down and stomped on it, continuing my walk. I pulled the hood on my jacket over my head trying to shield myself from the bright lights from the large advertisements.

I shoved through a few more people before finally making it to the door of the bar infront of me. I came here regularly, well more than regularly. It was quiet and people didn't swarm this spot.

"Ahh, Sequoia, here for the usual drink?" The bartender smiles at me. I honestly didn't know what she was doing working this kind of job. She was a extremely beautiful woman. She had long, dark, curly hair. Was dark skinned and had bright green eyes. I think I was staring too hard because she started laughing at me.

"Think you could just give a whole bottle this time?" I asked as she slid me a small glass.

"Definitely not, dangerous and I'd get fired," she answered smiling while wiping her hands on her apron.

It was barely 5 seconds before the loud sound of the metal door slamming into the wall echoed into the room.

"Oh my god! Sequoia is that you?" A loud voice shouts from behind me. I turn to see a burly woman practically charge at me.

"Uhh, do I.. know you?" I asked looking at her face more closely. She had bright purple hair that was practically buzzed, brown eyes and muscles twice the size of my thighs.

"Oh c'mon, you don't remember me?" She laughs shaking her head. "We did service together!" She exclaimed.

'service? Service.. Oh the Marines!' I thought you myself, finally recognizing her.

"Oh my god Mallory! It's been ages," I laughed.

I had a bad habit of pissing people off so when I joined the Marines. I pissed a lot of people off. Not Mallory though. She thought I was absolutely hilarious, and so a friendship formed.

Mallory and I fought in Venezuela together.

'Venezuela...' that name brought up some bad memories, even worse memories when I thought of my... My brother.

My brother, Jake Sully, fought in Venezuela as well. He was an ambitious idiot who had his head stuck up his ass, but, he was my brother.

Everything was fine until there was an accident causing him to loose use of his legs and putting him in a wheelchair for life.

Mallory reached over and took my drink swallowing it whole. I didn't really mind, I was just excited to see an old friend. Other than the pretty bartender, I had no one to talk to.

My brother lost touch with everyone after our oldest brother Tom Sully died. I'd assumed him dead awhile ago.

Well I had until this moment in time...

My phone buzzed in my back pocket taking my attention away from the conversation. It was a call, but it was an unknown number. Probably a scammer trying to get my social security number.

"Hello?" I answered waiting for the normal monotone computer voice to respond but instead a man's voice answered.

"Hey sis."

(A/N: Sorry it's short and crammed, it's really just to start the story off and stuff. FYI this will kinda be with the plot of the first movie kinda not. Some things may happen differently.)
