"Oiss, demon! Wake up!"

My eyes snapped open. Who said that? Where was I?

I was bent over, laying on the back of some animal with another person beside me who seemed to be the one yelling at me. Everything was a bit of a blur, all I could remember was falling asleep by that glowing pond.

We came to an abrupt stop and the person infront of me hopped off. From what I could tell he was one of the natives here.

"Off!" He shouted at me pulling at the back of my shirt. It was difficult with my hands and ankles bound, when I hit the ground I crumpled. Pain shot violently up my legs making my eyes swell with tears.

"Up! Up!" He screamed at me, I bit down on my lower lip and glared up at him.

"I can't!" I shouted back holding my throbbing ankle. He bent down and swatted at my hand. He examined it, an angrier look crossing his face.

He grabbed my arm and yanked me up. He put my arm around his shoulder and let me lean against him as we walked forward.

When we broke past a thick patch of trees everything got loud. Infront of me stood a crowd of natives and behind them, the largest tree I have ever seen. It was definitely bigger than the ones that used to be on Earth.

"Quick!" The guy hissed in my ear dragging me forward. The crowd parted, they gave me funny looks, some angry. A few reached out and grabbed at me, touching my skin, my face and my clothes before jumping back.

"Kneel," the guy said in a normal voice letting me down onto the ground. He pulled out a knife and held it against my braid pulling my hair roughly. I groaned and closed my eyes tightly, maybe I was just having a bad dream.

"Hey trooper."

My eyes snapped open once again tonight and I swung my head to the left.

Not a dream.

"Jake!" I whisper shouted. I let out a sigh of relief, he was alive. I wanted to ask Jake where he'd been but a female Na'vi walked infront of Jake and began talking loudly.

She was talking to an older looking man who wore big feathery clothes and had angry scowl. He looked important, he must be their leader.

They went back and forth their conversation sounding angry but I wouldn't have been able to tell.

The leader turned to us a still angry look on his face and he spoke.

"Who are you?" He demanded, his voice deep and covered in his thick accent. Jake swallowed roughly before giving him an ass answer.

"We are warriors.. from the... Jarhead clan," he said, his voice quivering slightly. The Jarhead clan.. seriously.

"Ha warrior?!" The guy standing behind Jake began laughing before coming at Jake with his knife.

"KEHE!" (NO) A woman shouted, coming forward. She had a weird type of shawl on, it looked like giant dragonfly wings. She also looked important, probably the leader guy's wife.

The guy backs off as the woman comes towards us. She walks confidently, not afraid like the people outside.

"What are your names?" She asked her stance tense.

"I'm Jake Sully and this is my sister Sequoia Sully," Jake answered, sweat running down the side of his face.

She pulled a needle looking object from her clothing and pricked Jake's chest tasting the blood. It was weird but today's been weird overall. Once she pricked me and tasted my blood her face lifted from it's scowl slightly.

"Why are you here?" She asked sounding impatient, her face just as angry as the rest.

"We were sent here to.. learn your ways!" Jake replied looking up at her. She waved her hand in dismissal.

"We have tried to teach other Sky People.. It is hard to fill a cup which is already full," she said glaring at me. At this point Jake was getting desperate with his answers.

The woman turned to the man in the feathery clothes and they began quietly talking, probably discussing if they should kill us or not. My ankle was starting to throb violently and it was becoming unbearable. I sucked in a tight breath and closed my eyes once again.

"We have decided," the woman said, the crowd of people turning their attention back to her. "We shall teach you our ways, but it will be hard," she narrowed her eyes at each of us.

She took a moment longer to just look at us. Her eyes were criticizing and cold.

"My youngest daughter Neytiri shall teach you Jake Sully," she pointed to the girl infront of Jake. "And you, my oldest daughter Leu'ra, they will teach you our ways. Learn well." She spoke sternly pointing to some girl hidden in the shadows. I wasn't entirely excited for this but that wasn't really top priority for me right now.

Jake got up and stood next to me resting his hand on my shoulder.

"Come on," he said which almost made me punch him. I shook my head and felt my breathing start to pick up. It was painful, so painful. I felt Jake try and pull me up but I was already going limp. Before I knew it, I was blacking out.

The minute my eyes closed I could already feel my consciousness leave my Avatar body.

"Hey kid, wake up come on."

Grace?

The voice was far away and muffled, I felt like I was swimming in water, my hearing muffled and my sight blurry. My body felt heavy and the phantom pain of my broken ankle was there.

I pushed against the 'water' and opened my eyes slowly, everything was still blurry. Grace shined a light into my eyes making me snap up in shock.

"There she is! Hey your ok, calm down," Grace spoke reassuringly her hand pressed against my back.

"You've got some explaining to do," Norm said from behind Grace, his annoyed face bringing me all the way back into reality.

"Fuck off Normy," I mumbled letting Grace pull me out of my chamber. I winced when my foot hit the ground, it didn't actually hurt but the pain from the Avatar body was so fresh that I limped anyways.

Grace dragged me to a table where everyone was eating and sat me down, Jake entered the room at that same time.

Once we were both sat down and eating she made us explain every thing that happened.
