"Idiot!" Leu'ra muttered, for the 50th time in the past 2 hours.
She'd been trying to teach me the Na'vi names for different animals and I kept butchering all of them. The accent just wouldn't roll off my tongue that easily.
"Ok ok last one, look there," Leu'ra sighed pointing behind me at something. I turned to see what would look to be a deer of some sort. I rummaged through my memory and came up blank. I shrugged at her, and she narrowed her eyes at me.
"You will never learn."
I let out a long sigh as she stood up and began walking in some random direction. I stood up, nearly falling over, gripping my 'crutch' for support. She just continued, not waiting to see if I was following.
I've been here for only a few days now and I can't even begin to describe how amazing everything is. The people, the animals and especially the nature.
"Leu'ra! where are we going?!" I shouted at her, she looked back at me, her face annoyed. She looked me up and down and rolled her eyes. I was slowly losing my patience with her.
"I've been putting it off, but now it's time. You will have to dress like us if you wish to learn to be like us ," She explained, still walking quickly ahead of me.
'putting it off?' I questioningly thought.
She finally found a path and lead me all the way back to Hometree, which was the name for the gigantic tree they lived in.
'see I'm learning something!' I thought to myself.
"Come, in here."
Leu'ra grabbed my shoulder yanking me into what seemed to be a tent of sorts. It was generally dark inside except for the small streams of light that made it through the top.
"Why do you bring this vrrtep to me?" (Demon) a low voice calls out. A woman sits in the middle of the tent surrounded by baskets.
She's covered in thick clothes, each strand of her hair beaded and she has what looks to be paint on her face.
Leu'ra didn't say anything she just beckoned to my body and the woman on the ground nodded. She stood up and shooed Leu'ra away before turning back to me.
"Take it off," she demanded, pinching at the fabric of my shirt. I felt heat rush up in my face.
"What are you waiting for?" She asked her brow furrowing in anger. I idly fiddled with my hands.
"Can I have some privacy?" I asked turning to face her. She stood there for a minute not speaking.
"We do not judge here, nor does Eywa," she paused "she does not judge the outside, only the in," she said, her voice quiet and a different look on her face. I felt my body relax as she walked back infront of me.
With a sigh I undressed and stood there with my arms wrapped around my chest, in hopes she'd just give me clothes.
...
"Hurry, we're going to be late," Leu'ra grunted, pulled on my arm as she dragged me up Hometree. The strong breeze that brushed against me reminded me how high up I was. I felt nauseous.
Leu'ra let go of my arm and let me follow her. She lead me into a large room where the whole clan sat. They say in rows circling around the room, the Chief in the middle.
Some people sang a song I obviously didn't understand and little groups of children ran everywhere while everyone else ate.
Neytiri walked in beside me with Jake on her trail. The room went completely silent the minute everyone noticed us walking in.
In the awkward silence, Jake and I made our way around the circle of people to an empty spot on the floor.
Jake had a big stupid grin on his face, and I couldn't help but smile a little as well. This was a new beginning for me and Jake, I shouldn't be mopy about my situation.
...
Although dinner had been awkward, it still had been a wonderful experience and I had had a meal together with Jake in quite awhile.
Now I follow Leu'ra farther up the tree into what seemed to be the sleeping quarters. Their beds looked like caterpillar cacoons.
I tried my best to follow Leu'ra onto a thinner branch that was only about 1 foot wide. I picked up my crutch and hobbled over to a cacoons bed that hang next Leu'ra. I wasn't sure where else to go but she didn't make any objections.
I watched Leu'ra close her 'bed' in awe. These small things always seem to amaze me for some reason. I gently pulled at the side of mine and they slowly closed together. I rested on my back looking up, the night sky amazed me, with the giant moons so close. Plus the billions of stars.
With a pretty image in my head I closed my eyes to 'sleep'. I felt my consciousness remove itself from my avatar and back into my human body.
I opened my eyes to see the dark gray color of the link chamber above me. I push open the 'lid' of sorts and removed the wiry cage over my body.
Sitting up with a pained groan, I could feel the stiffness in my back and legs.
"You guys good?" Grace's voice, asked drifting from across the room. I nodded and Jake grunted, the sound of his wheel chair being unfolded following.
I swung my legs over the side and pushed my self up to a standing position. The phantom pains of my ankle weren't nearly as bad as they head been originally. The Na'vi bone seemed to heal 10x's faster than the normal human bone.
Soon I'd be learning how to "ride and hunt" as I recall Leu'ra saying. I didn't bother saying anything to anyone, I just made my way to my own room and fell asleep.
I really needed it.

(A/N: sorry nothing really happens in this chapter, it's just kind of a filler, just to really give more detail on everything happening when they aren't in their avatars!)
