"I have to say, I'm jealous," Grace said a big smile on her face. After some long explaining (again) on both Jake and I's part, we were all caught up.

Jake had been venturing off like me and had found himself surrounded by a bunch of, according to Grace, Viper wolves. That's when the Na'vi girl, Neytiri, saved his ass.

"I can't believe you guys almost died and got in with Omiticaya on your first night out," Grace laughed, her eyes bright with happiness and relief.

"Definitely unbelievable," I laughed with a sigh, resting my face in my hands. Even though I slept for a good 9 hours I still felt exhausted.

The pain from my Avatar body was nothing but a faint memory now but I'm sure as soon as I get in it'll be bad.

"Think you can do it today?" Jake asked his voice low to keep it somewhat private. I lifted my head up and nodded a little letting out a long yawn. He patted my shoulder and walked off.

"Let's go kid, clan life starts early."

It was soothing for a few moments, than agonizing pain.

"Damnit!" I grunted shooting up from my laying position. I seemed to have momentarily forgotten about broken ankle, go me. My throat and lungs didn't hurt as bad anymore, still sore, but better nevertheless.

"How do you feel?"

"Huh?" I looked up, finally taking in my surroundings. There were several beds laid out against the wall of this round room. Several baskets lay open with different looking tools. It looked like a 'hospital' room of sorts.

My ankle was now properly wrapped in thick white gauze like cloth.

A young Na'vi woman sat infront of my at the edge of the bed her face seemingly to have a permanent scowl etched into it. She waited patiently for me answer.

"Oh uh, I feel fine thank you," I said nodding at her. She looked familiar, I rummaged through my head to think about it, looking at her closely.

oh idiot, it's Leu'ra I thought finally recognizing her facial features. She had her hair braided like her sister's, beads hanging at the end of each braid.

She had more of a purplish skin with white splotches everywhere. I'd heard of something like that but I couldn't name it at the moment.

She had a few piercings, a small hoop in each ear and a needle looking thing that went through her nose. Her fingers were adorned with gold and silver rings.

And instead of yellow eyes, her color laid more on the gold side with some darker undertones of possibly brown. She was very beautiful.

"Here, use this to walk," she held out a long stick with a curved end at the top which I assumed was supposed to fit under your arm. I stood up a little shakily and thanked her for the stick, crutch thing.

"Come," she waved her hand at me beckoning towards the door. Her accent wasn't as thick as everyone elses when they spoke English. She must've learned back when the RDA wasn't knocking on their back door and the Omiticaya liked them.

She lead me down to the base of the giant tree we were in. It must've been the one I'd seen the night before. It was bigger once inside it. It was breathtaking. Literally. I was deathly afraid of heights, but the way it made my stomach flop was exciting.

Adrenaline junky but scared when it comes to heights.

Awesome.

"I must teach you, but since you aren't well enough to train with your body, I shall teach you to speak as we do first."

I nodded at Leu'ra not really paying attention. Everything was so mesmerizing and beautiful. Even the normal work of the people around me was beautiful. So much different from the sad, sullen faces of everyone back home.

I looked back to find Leu'ra and found that she had disappeared from view. I immediately panicked. I spun around looking for her white spots, I couldn't see her anywhere. People gave me an odd look before continuing on.

My chest felt like it was tightening, she left me alone in this crowd of people. I wasn't antisocial or anything it was just her leaving abruptly. It brought back an old feeling, almost like PTSD.

I turned back to where I'd last seen her and went that way, nearly running a group of kids over. I almost whacked them with my fast moving tail on the way out as well.

As I felt my panic rise, my tail flicked back in forth. On top of this awful situation my bodily functions were adding on more stress. I grabbed my tail trying to make it stop moving but it just ripped itself of my hand.

"Are you ok Tawtute?" (Sky person)

I whipped my head around to meet a pair of bright yellow eyes. It wasn't Leu'ra but that didn't matter, her calm voice was relaxing. I set my breathing back to a normal pace feeling my heart calm down as well.

"Uhmm, I'm looking for Leu'ra?" I suddenly felt embarrassed. She probably thought I was an idiot, but she broke out into a smile nodding her head.

"I just saw her, come come,"

I limped as fast as I could, which wasn't very fast but, the woman didn't walk as fast a Leu'ra and she looked back constantly to see if I was still there.

"What's your name?" I asked, feeling awkward in this lengthy silence. She was lead me down a wide path with others passing by.

"My name is Ni'nat," she replied giving me another warm smile. It made me feel less alienated when she smiled at me.

"Leu'ra!"

Ni'nat ran over to Leu'ra smiling as she pointed at me. Leu'ra had been angrily looking around before she finally saw me. She clicked her tongue in annoyance and waved a hand in my direction, like she was shooing a fly.

"Skxawng tawtute," (idiot sky person)

I'm not a genius but I think that was offensive.

With a sigh I hobbled after her trying to keep up with her quick pace as she took a smaller path that led of into thick vegetation away from the people.

Leu'ra finally found a place to stop, right in the middle of a grass clearing with massive trees surrounding it, their canopies offering shade when we need it.

The sound of a lively stream came from nearby. It was quiet and peaceful, with the buzzing of some insect creature nearby to complete it all. I never thought I'd get to see something like this.

"Sit. You have a lot to learn Tawtute." (Sky person)
