Author's Note: If you need to sleep, eat, or do other things, this is a good story part to stop on. You can always read later. The good stuff starts here.

Running. That was all that Keith could do. His heart raced with fear and anxiety. He didn't know where he was going, he didn't care either, he just wanted to get away. Far, far, far away. When he had entered Cherry's house, she didn't bother to greet him. He kept his gaze on the floor as he walked to the kitchen to put away the new set of plates he had bought for her. She had continued to do whatever she was doing while he was gone, and he had proceeded to hide in his room. He needed sleep, desperately, though anytime he closed his eyes he feared what he would wake up to in the morning. He thought he used to know Cherry, but it was obvious he didn't. He left the house before she could find him in his room. He left almost as soon as he came.

His body screeched with pain and begged him to stop running but he refused. He was terrified, running as fast as he could, as far away as he could, before collapsing due to exhaustion. When he was able to stand again he realized that he was at the main railroad. He didn't care that he was here, he was just glad he made some distance between him and Cherry. Keith approached the empty train tracks, limping slowly due to how his body seemed to ache even more. He spotted an empty bench near the passenger station and sat down. Maybe sleeping here for the night wouldn't be so bad. Sure, he might freeze to death or get kidnapped or something but... he couldn't really find it in himself to care anymore. He didn't think that either of those options were any worse than his current situation anyways.

He laid down on the bench, shivering as day faded to dusk. He really started to wish he had brought a coat with him or something. He closed his tired eyes, being relieved as his stress started to erode. He laid there, shivering, but more relaxed. Maybe if he went to sleep out here on the bench, he would die of hypothermia. Maybe he wouldn't have to wake up the next morning and go back to Cherry's place. Maybe he would finally stop worrying about whether he was in danger or not. Maybe he would be happy again. As he thought of these words, he froze. Was he not happy with Cherry? For the first time in the 3 months they had been together he finally had some time to think. Only now did he realize that he wasn't actually happy with Cherry.

Keith hugged his knees as sobs racked his body. Hot tears streamed down his face. He couldn't remember the last time he spoke with his friends. Cherry had isolated him from everyone except her. He couldn't help but cry. He just wanted to feel... better? No, he just wanted to be able to feel in general again. He was exhausted, he wanted sleep. He wanted a lot of things actually, and one of them was to get out of his relationship with Cherry. However, as soon as he thought of this, images of her screaming, hitting, and throwing stuff at him blossomed through his mind.

Sobs once again took hold of Keith's body as the grip he had around his knees tightened. He was a complete mess, but what could a scrawny and weak individual such as himself do about the current situation he was in? Eventually, his body began to hurt too much to cry, all he could do was lay there, tears still running down his face. All his thoughts consisted of running, sleeping, and Cherry yelling. Tak tak tak tak tak... Keith heard soft footsteps approaching him. His body froze, was it Cherry? Had she followed him here? He started to shake uncontrollably, fear holding him down to the bench with its icy grip. His throat clenched and all he could do was whimper as he listened to the footsteps nearing. The footsteps stopped beside the bench. Keith waited and waited for something to happen, but nothing did. Eventually he built up the courage to look...
