"Beta Pari!!"

"Waaah! Mummy!" The little girl ran to her mother who had just appeared. The woman checked the girl for any injuries before hugging her and crying with her.

Seeing the crying pair in front of her, Sarah was touched, reminded of her own mother.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you very much!" the woman, whose eyes were red from crying, profusely expressed her gratitude to Sarah as she tightly held her child. "If not for you..." At that thought, the woman began thanking her again.

"It's okay. It's what I should do," Sarah reassured her.

The mother-daughter pair reminded Sarah of her parents. She still remembered how she had gone out crying in search of her parents that year, not believing they had really passed on. Her emotions clouded her judgment and resulted in an accident. When she woke up, there was no one except the white ceiling of the hospital room to stare at like a dead body. Then finally, realization struck her that the dreadful night had actually happened; it wasn't the nightmare she thought it was.

The sight of a man coming out from the driver's seat reminded Sarah of being only ten centimeters away from the car's hood. Glaring at the man, she scolded, "Are you blind?! There's a child in front and you still drove so fast! Do you know that you almost killed someone?!"

Ramesh was filled with regret and sincerely apologized, "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! It was all due to my carelessness; I will be more careful next time."

"Next time?" Sarah crooned with a stare.

"No - no. I mean there won't be a next time!" Ramesh stammered, stunned by this beautiful yet fierce-looking girl.

Aryan watched the commotion outside. The girl was about 5'6", not like the skinny models he usually hung out with. Her back looked firm, like a confident, independent girl, the type who is always ready to fight for justice and her rights. Her figure was not visible in the flowery, loose-fitting Kurti she wore.

Just then, Aryan's phone rang. Casting his thoughts aside, Aryan rolled up the window and answered the phone.

At this time, Sarah turned toward the window that was rolling up and saw the blurry figure, then turned around.

"...I know," Aryan said calmly. However, when he glanced outside and found that his driver was still being scolded, his handsome forehead began to crease.

"Madam, I know my mistake; I promise I will never make the same mistake, okay?" Ramesh begged, almost as though he was ready to kneel in desperation. He really had not met such an upright girl before.

"He he he!" The little girl in her mother's embrace began to giggle.

"Seeing that you're really regretting this, I'll let you off this time," Sarah said, seeing him begging, deciding not to be obstinate anymore.

Ramesh was ecstatic to hear this and swiftly placed name cards in Sarah's and the mother's hands.

"This is my name card; if you are not feeling well, please feel free to call me." Ramesh finally had a chance to finish the task his boss had given him. After getting his card, Sarah turned towards the pair.

Just as Ramesh placed the name cards in their hands, his phone rang.

Seeing the caller name displayed on the phone screen, Ramesh quickly answered it.

"Yes, Boss. It's fine now," Ramesh replied, his expression grim as he hung up the phone. Apologizing again to Sarah and the mother-daughter pair, he hurriedly returned to the car.

"What took you so long?" Aryan asked coldly.

"The girl outside is slightly difficult to handle; she is really too upright," Ramesh replied as he put on his seatbelt. "She is also beautiful and charming just like my daugter, so I couldn't deny her."

Thinking of the girl who had just given him a lecture on driving, Ramesh wanted to laugh.

Too upright? Aryan glanced out the window as the car drove off. Sarah was smiling towards the duo, talking to them with a cheerful look on her face, and with that one look, he was stunned!

"Wow, her smile—how can it be this beautiful? She is refreshing like the winter morning sun, a refreshing feeling to my whole being."

Seeing the girl's figure get further and further away, Aryan felt a little disappointment inside, and a part of him wanted to stop the car. The way she confronted his driver, he really wanted to meet this feisty girl.

"What am I thinking? Am I crazy? No...no, it is just my appreciation for beautiful things that is why I focused on this girl, yes, that's the only reason."

"Boss?" Ramesh asked with suspicion as he looked at Aryan's abnormal behavior through the rearview mirror.

"...Nothing." Aryan turned back to the front and straightened in his seat, no longer looking out the window for the girl that he surprisingly seemed to care for.

"They... are not hurt, are they?"

"No, the car didn't hit them," Ramesh answered.

"Then, you've given them a name card?"

"Given."

"Mhm." Aryan acknowledged.

The usual silence restored back in the car.

Today was different, though. While the typical CEO Aryan would usually catch forty winks or look through the company's documents, he was actually in a daze the whole day after that accident.

"Will she call or not? She should call, right? Why does it even matter to me? Really!"

Ramesh stole a look at Aryan through the rearview mirror. His facial expression was as usual, without any expression on that handsome face, but in his eyes, it was obvious that he was thinking of something.

Boss seems weird today. It even seemed like his boss was the one who almost got hit in the head and not the passersby during my emergency brake.

Only after the car drove off did Sarah notice the name card in her hand.

"..." The corners of Sarah's mouth twitched as she examined the black-colored card that only had a name and mobile number on it and silently chided, What kind of name card is this?! They should learn after looking at my business card, really.

"Miss, thank you so much for today." The mother had finally calmed down, and after hearing Sarah lecture Ramesh earlier, she warmed up to her.

"It's almost 12; how about I treat you to lunch?" the girl's mother asked with a laugh.

Sarah smiled as she shook her head. "It's alright. I have something on in the afternoon." She had to go, and she also felt awkward with strangers.

She was now in a hurry to head to the mall.

Seeing that Sarah was not one to pretend, the woman nodded her head with a smile and said, "I'm Rekha Kumar. You can call me Rekha di."

"I'm Sarah. I run an event management company. Here's my business card. Rekha Di, you can contact us if you want to arrange any kind of event," Sarah also introduced herself and her business, returning the smile.

"Yes, why not? I know about Vernam Group. You arranged the wedding event of Nitya Roy. We are her relatives. I also went to her wedding. I actually really liked all your arrangements. If there is any function we want to arrange, I will surely contact you," the mother said with a warm smile.

Sarah felt a wave of gratitude wash over her. "Thank you so much for appreciating our work. In our business, we believe in spreading happiness while giving surprises. We will do our best for any type of function," she replied sincerely.

After exchanging goodbyes with the mother and daughter, Sarah turned and headed toward the mall situated across the road.
