Tensions from the Truth

It took half a day for Teams 7 and 10 to arrive back to Konoha. After going through check-in, they barely made it past the gates when they see Naruto on a tree limb resting. Naruto knew that he still needed to show up with his team so they can report their mission. "Ok you guys, lets go meet with the Hokage" Said Kakashi. They all nod and start heading to his tower. 

A few minutes later, they are now in front of the Hokage as Kakashi is recounting what has happen on their mission. It included the attacks from the Demon Brothers, their first fight against Zabuza (as well as what Sasuke did with substituting with Sakura so he can survive), and the fight afterward and the result of the attack from Gato. Hiruzen has already heard most of this from Naruto so he didn't show much emotion from the report but Iruka was a different matter. He still couldn't believe that Naruto was that strong. He believed that Naruto was exaggerating when reporting a few hours before but it was all true. Naruto notices that Iruka is just staring at him, so he just looks at him and gives him his signature foxy smirk that Iruka usually sees when Naruto pulled off a prank. He just smiles and inwardly chuckles at his antics.

Some have noticed though the attitude that Naruto have been having with the Hokage making things awkward whenever there were pauses on the report. It's usually not like him to be so formal with a neutral face. It is honestly making Hiruzen uncomfortable. After the report was finished, they were all dismissed except Naruto as Hiruzen requested for him to stay for a bit. Iruka knowing that something was up, just stands up and starts heading out as well. Just as he was about to pass Naruto though, he stops and puts his hand on his shoulder as gently smiles at him which Naruto returns the gesture and nods at him. Now that they were alone, Naruto is just waiting for the annoying conversation to start. 

A few minutes later of awkward silence, Hiruzen starts by saying "Naruto what's wrong? Ever since the council meeting, you seen to be distant from me and I just wanted to know if I did anything?" Naruto just sighs "Nothing really happened, its just the consequences of your actions and decisions. I'm just honestly tired, hurt and disappointed..."Those hiding, the ANBU and the Hokage go wide-eyed from what he just said. The hokage asks why and Naruto just slowing starts going off. "Jiji...you have kept too many secrets from me that I should've known. Even worse those secrets were let out into the public making the need of them being hidden insignificant. From knowing who my mother is, to what I'm keeping prison inside me 'Sorry Kurama' and lastly, why the civilians and ninjas hate me and did everything they did." Hiruzen just slowly looks like his body is aging with how tired and guilty he is looking with every subject that Naruto brought up.

"I have asked you multiple times why they hated me, why they attacked me and discriminate, but most importantly why was I alone...I hated the feeling of loneliness and pain I felt everyday. What's worse is that I had to learn some of MY secrets from the civilians themselves...it was honestly devastating to find out from others then those who I trusted. You said that it was to protect me right? But who was going to protect me but how does it protect me? It just made me resent this village itself for not protecting a child that needed love and care, something that the First Hokage wanted when he built the village. He would be so disgusted with how the village is now. It's also why I'm so hurt and tired." The Hokage could only put his head down in shame with everything that was listed out in the open. He was just being ignorant with everything that was going on around Naruto and couldn't even deny him. The ANBU on the other hand were starting to get irritated with the disrespect the Hokage was receiving. Neko also known as Yugao Uzuki, told them to hold still as they continued listening. She wanted to know where this was going since she did have a soft spot for the boy.

"You know how fucked up my mentality is right now? I sleep FOUR hours throughout the whole day and night! I keep getting reoccurring nightmares keeping me awake from everything that this damn village has done to me!!!! You remember of a Yamanaka a few years back that ended up needing to be locked up, secured, watch, and given therapy because he kept yelling and crying trying to attempt suicide and literally passing out whenever an Uchiha got near him?!" Naruto was now yelling these questions that made the others nervous. They have never seen this side of Naruto before and it disturbed them. Hiruzen just nodded his head as affirmation. Naruto started to breathe a little erratically remembering a few things from that time. "Naruto, please take a deep breath. Calm down Naru, I'm here for you remember. Just let out everything you been holding in slowly. You need to release this pain you been holding inside of you. Just know I'm here ok?" He felt as if he was being hugged and knew Kuruma was hugging him in his mindscape. He told her thank you and let himself be hugged as he slowly calmed him self. Finally letting out a deep breath, he said "That Yamanaka was one of the few that was in a mob that was chasing me when I was 10. I was still training a bit at that time, but I wasn't strong yet. He thought he could use his clans technique to fuck up with my mind a bit and let the others attack me without me retaliating, so he performed it perfectly and he got inside my mind. The things he saw in my memories of what I went through....It turned him into what he still is right now. What the civilians did wasn't what turn him into what he is, but it was what the ninjas did that broke him and made him lose his trust in humanity. I literally saw his soul brake slowly when I stared into his eyes when he was inside of my head...." Those that remembered how the Yamanaka was acting and how he seemed afraid with all ninjas, especially Uchihas, made them afraid to find out what he went through. They all had one thought in their mind though. 'I couldn't be that bad right?'
