Letter 6

Dear Taehyun,

I'm now well enough to go to school! The doctor said that it was fine for me to go back to school, but I still occasionally have to stay home some days to get check-ups. At least that's better than nothing.

I must've been hallucinating today, but when I walked past you to get to Biology, you seem glance at me and look a bit concerned. So you did notice? I don't know anymore, I'm very confused.

Anyways, Aria, my lab partner, and Huening Kai tackled me the moment I stepped inside the school. Literally. They even clung onto me like burs the whole entire day. It's quite nice to know that someone was worried about me, other than my parents, though they were very inquisitive about why I had been gone for so long. Very irritating, yet warming.

We had a small "picnic" on the roof to 'celebrate' my return and it brought back old memories. It reminded me of the time when you and I went to a festival and laid on the grass to stare at the fireworks when we were 15. You know, when we finally convinced our parents that we were 'mature' enough as teenagers to stay together late at night without adult supervision. I still remember that day clearly and the weird cringing we had after watching several lovers kiss and confess their love to each other during the fireworks.

As nostalgic as it was, I wasn't going to reminisce old memories and leave Aria and Huening Kai in the dust, so I decided to be brave and take a chance. Today, I finally confessed everything. What was happening, why I was absent, everything. And that's how our lunch turned into a teary moment. The day was still as same as ever, the winds blowing, the leaves falling, yet a secret had unfolded. My secret. I won't tell you why yet, I already confessed once today, I don't want to do it again... and perhaps I want to dwell in my dream before reality struck a fatal blow on me hard in the face once again.
