I feel incredibly anxious and out of place here in Jubilife Village, there are so many adults here and they all have people they can talk to, But I find myself alone for the most part....
Some random drunk guys continuously approach me and try to court me, so I simply tell them I am not interested. I feel very vulnerable without Eevee by me and even Adaman is caught up with multiple girls asking him out. I feel a slight burning sensation in my chest but I ignore it.
Adaman doesn't seem interested in any of those girls and I see him respectfully reject one after another. He keeps looking over to me, I wonder if he is worried about me? I shrug and another guy approaches me and I look at them.
"heyy~ cutie! wannaaa be my girlll~ you'd live a life of luxury~" He purrs into my ear. I pull away from him.
"Sorry, I am not interested" He doesn't look too happy about that and he grabs my arm. "Come on~ I insist~ Just spend one night with me and you'lll seee~" I feel the panic overwhelm my body and I try pulling away but he holds on tighter.
"Ahem, would you please refrain from being so aggressive to one of my clan mates" I see Adaman and he places his hand on my shoulder. This makes the other guy tense up and he reluctantly leaves.
Adaman immediately looks at my arm "I'm glad it's not bruised... Here follow me" He leads me to a different table and I see Irida.
"What do you want Adaman" She glares at him, very obviously annoyed.
"Can (y/n) stay with you for now? I would but I don't want the ladies to join in on harassing her..." He seems a bit upset having to ask for her help and Irida seems surprised.
"Yeah sure, I don't have an issue with that. Glad you're finally being considerate-" she smirks teasingly.
He just groans before patting me on the head and walking off, I didn't realize before but a lot of females were glaring at me that whole time- Which is very unsettling.
Irida gives me a small pat on the back, "Cheer up! At least you can prepare for next time! Maybe You will even get with someone next time!" She gives me a soft smile
I give a slight nod "What about you? Do you like anyone?" I look at her curiously
She gives a slight smile "No, not currently anyways. Right now I feel too young to settle down with someone. I am sure I will someday and hopefully pass down my legacy. I am sure Adaman also wants to pass down his legacy and well currently he is a good age to find a lover so I am sure here soon he will choose someone."
For some reason that thought makes me a bit sad, I guess if he does find someone and start a family with them he won't have much time to be near me... if he will be near me at all..
Irida smiles a bit and hands me a drink "I am not sure of your feelings on Adaman, but I can tell it would be hard for you to let go if he got with someone. So here try some sake" I nod and take a drink
It's somewhat sweet and it's warm maybe a bit too warm, I drink some more as I do enjoy the taste but I feel odd the more I drink it.
