Characters are not mine; Trunks belongs to Akira Toriyama along with Toei Animation. Hazbin Hotel belongs to Vivziepop/Vivienne Medrano and A24.
Chapter 16 - Decisions
Sorry for cutting the last chapter, but I've come upon a bit of a discovery. From now on, I'll be cutting my chapters in half and maybe putting them within a day of each other, though actual chapters will still be out every Tuesdays, so no change there.
Let me know if shorter chapters are better to read for the long run, and I might do that.

Trunks' Perspective
The Half Saiyan was walking in the third floor of the Hazbin Hotel hallway, taking his usual 30 minute break. He considered asking Charlie if she was busy so he'd have some company, but decided against it for the time being. She was probably busy anyways.
So, he continued walking, both hands in his pockets. He wasn't totally sure what he'd do on his break. He usually hung out with Charlie, but he had some other things in mind right now... he was facing some kind of conflict in his mind.
Not anything too serious, well, to an outside perspective, but it was something that absolutely demanded attention from our young Saiyan... and he had no idea how to go about it.
Okay, let's turn back a little. What exactly is troubling Trunks?
Was it some sort of existential crisis? Has God returned and said that he had mere hours left to remain in Hell? No... no that can't be it. There would be a lot more... chaos, would be the right word, and dismay sprouting about in our cast.
Well, whatever the problem was, he sure was stressing about it, as shown by him suddenly putting a hand on his head, not unlike someone would do if they had a headache.
Then what was the problem?
Trunks continued walking down the hallway until he made it to a familiar looking room... his and Charlie's room. He unlocked the door and entered. Immediately, Trunks began to look around for something. "C'mon... where the hell did I put it?"
Ah, so he's searching for something. Well, what could it be then? A memento? Maybe he's looking to get his green sweater back from Charlie?
Well, that last point was impossible for him to do, so that couldn't be it.
As he was searching, a metaphorical light bulb lit above his head, remembering the location of whatever he's trying to find. He went over to their bed and floated, taking the painting from the wall off of its screws.
Moving the painting above their bed slightly, he accessed a small compartment holding several items.
He grabbed the item he was attempting to find, a small black box with a little white marking engraved on the top displaying "C + T". The Saiyan smiled upon the sight, as he had it fabricated to his liking.
That's not all the design had to offer, however. It also had faint, but noticeable, light red highlights in a specialised engraving, forming several hearts. One wouldn't be mistaken to think they see two figures in a faint engraving right in the middle of the top of the box, as it may be just that.
Opening it, he was met with two silver engagement rings bearing several unique designs each, with one relatively large design depicting both of their first name letters.
For a moment, he simply stared at the spectacle. He acquired this not too long ago using some connections he personally had and with Alastor's help, Trunks was able to acquire the engagement rings.
