Tony and the team entered Tony's childhood house.
Tony led the team past the music room where he stopped and took a shaky breath as tears filled his eyes, Tony felt a hand in his: Kate. He gave a watery smile at his sister.
"You okay?" She asked in a soft voice. Tony shook his head as he put his head atop of hers. "No, but once he's in cuffs and in our interrogation room, then I will be." He told her as he moved away from the music room.
The door to his father's study was closed, like it always was. Tony shivered as memories of his beating came back to him full force, Kate squeezed his hand tighter. "You can do this, Tony." She said softly. Tony nodded at his sister, released their hands and knocked on the study door.
"Come in!" His fathers voice called. Tony gritted his teeth as he opened the door, his gun drawn. He smiled a devil's smile when he saw his fathers face.
"You!" His father shouted. Tony smiled.
"In the flesh, Senior." Tony said as he walked closer to his father's desk. Suddenly he felt the all too familiar crack of his fathers hand making contact with his cheek.
"I told you you were dead to me.'' The older DiNozzo said, not hearing the gun in his son's hand go off, missing his head by inches, the bullet was lodged in a book on the case behind his father.
"That was a warning shot, so unless you want a bullet lodged in your skull, you'll shut the fuck up and turn around." Tony growled as he holstered his gun and took out his handcuffs. He walked past Kate, Gibbs, Jenny and Tim and flashed them a smile.
"I don't suppose there's any chance of you guys leaving me alone with him?" He asked his family rhetorically as he walked around the desk and wrenched his father's hands behind his back and tightened the cuffs until his father let out a yelp.
"That was not even a fraction of the pain you caused me as a child." Tony hissed in his fathers ear.
"Anthony DiNozzo Senior you're under arrest for 2 counts of child abuse and the assault of a Federal Agent, you have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney, if you can't afford one, one will be appointed to you, do you understand the rights I've just read to you?" Tony asked in a cold tone. His father didn't say anything as he was forced off to another agent.
"You'll pay for this, Anthony, do you hear me? Your mother is dead because of you, you killed her, you're a murderer, I should have killed you when I had the chance!" His father shouted as he was led out of the house by Tim. Tony stood frozen in front of Kate, Jenny and Gibbs. He looked at his family.
"Is.. is it over?" He whispered. He suddenly found himself being held by Kate as he fell to the floor.
"It's over, Tony, it's all over." Gibbs reassured his son as he and Jenny joined Tony and Kate on the floor of the study. "Come on, let's go home." Gibbs told his agents and his boss, Tony got to his feet and smiled as he was led out of the house, for the last time by his family.
Tony grit his teeth as he, Kate, Abby and Tim watched from the observation room as Gibbs and Jenny interrogated his father who hadn't said a word since his arrest.
"Why did you abuse your son, Mr DiNozzo?" Gibbs asked the elder DiNozzo who shrugged.
"I'm going in." Tony whispered to the team, ignoring their pleas not to.
"Answer his question Senior: why did you abuse me as a child?" Asked Tony as he entered the room, staring at his 'father.' Senior smirked as he leaned back in his chair.
"I felt like it." Senior said simply, Tony scoffed as he sat on the table. He felt his blood boil.
"DiNozzo, leave the room." Gibbs ordered, but Tony shook his head, he wasn't leaving the room until he got some answers.
"You felt like it? You felt like abusing your own son?! What happened before I found Mom dead in the music room, because even she wouldn't have just killed herself, not without a damned good explanation." His mothers suicide never much made sense to him.
Senior sighed. "When you went to bed, I had a meeting and your mother went to play the piano before she went to bed. You were in a deep sleep so it didn't surprise me that you didn't wake up when she screamed just as she stabbed herself in the chest." Tony narrowed his eyes.
"If you knew that she'd killed herself, why not move her body before I entered the room that morning? Why did you throw me into the piano? Why did you blame me for her death?" Tony asked, he was struggling to comprehend everything his father had done to him that morning. Senior shook his head.
"I really don't have an answer for you, son." Senior said, Tony leaped off the table as if it burnt him.
"You don't get to call me that, I was never your son." Tony hissed at Senior. "After everything you've done to me, how could you call me that? You beat me for years and disowned me and never spoke to me, and we did see each other again, you said I was dead to you and that I was a murderer. No, I don't need, I've never needed you, I have all the family I'll ever want in Gibbs, Jenny, Ducky, Palmer, Tim, Abby and Kate, especially in Gibbs and those two girls because they've only ever made me feel loved and protected. You didn't, they did, goodbye Senior." Tony said as he looked at Gibbs and Jenny with a small smile as they watched everything between the two DiNozzo's from the shadows of the interrogation room. They watched as Tony left the room and after they gave Senior one last disgusted look, they left the room themselves.
Everyone who witnessed the talk between Tony and Senior hoped that it would tony the push he so desperately needed to move on and leave his demons in the past now.
