"Hey, I'm just going to go and get changed and then if you're up to it, we can talk about what needs to happen next?" Y/n asked, and kissed Willow gently on her little head, before placing her into a baby chair.

"Course." I smiled and nodded gently, before she walked off upstairs.

"Hey baby," I whispered softly to Willow, who was looking at me with her big brown eyes and frowning in the most adorable way.

She started getting upset, so I did what anyone without experience would do and I panicked. I placed my cane to the side and unclipped her from the chair, before sitting down in the sofa and cradling her tiny body in my arms.

At first, she squirmed around a little, and I was worried she would start screaming, but then she settled down and fell asleep with her head on my chest.

"You know little one, sometimes we think things are going to be over. And we start getting ready for an end, but sometimes all we need is someone to hold us, and tell us it'll all pass by one day," I said quietly to her and rubbed her back gently, as I moved her up a little higher, so her head was on my shoulder and I could hold her a little more comfortably.

I smiled and moved back into the sofa, holding onto her close and feeling her tiny breaths, as I kept rubbing her back. All we'd ever wanted.

"She's great at giving hugs, isn't she?" Y/n giggled quietly and sat next to us.

"She's warm."

We both smiled down at the tiny human in my arms.

"So what's the plan then? Are you moving in here or are we moving to your house?"

"I don't want to live there anymore. I made a lot of memories, good and bad, but the bad ones overshadow the good, I think," I sighed, and noticed Willow shifting around a little.

"So you're moving in here?"

I just nodded and she smiled back gently.

"Would you like your own room or..." but then she stopped. "I'm sorry, that's inappropriate."

"No it's not." I blushed.

"Would you umm... want to stay in my room?"

I just nodded. A lot. And she laughed. It was gorgeous.

We went back to my house that evening and I packed everything up. I took a lot down to the tip and y/n drove boxes back to her house as I packed them. I didn't have a lot of things.

"Ok gorgeous girl, that's the last box." I smiled at Willow, who'd been watching me the whole time from my bed. We'd propped her up into a sitting position against my pillow and she'd sat patiently the whole time, with a lot of cuddles from me whenever y/n wasn't in the room.

I sat on the bed and kissed the crown of her head, as I picked her up gently and held her close.

"He was a really lovely guy Willow," I sighed and laid back against his pillow. "But he'd want me to move on."

The baby looked up at me with, at first, a frown, before she cracked I to a huge smile and started giggling, which I started giggling at.

"God baby, I think I love you already," I laughed and kissed her nose, making her laugh even more.

That night, I slept in y/n's arms, with Willow's cot next to me.

That was it. That was my new life.
