A Night To Remember

Gone

Daisy struggled uncomfortably to make herself comfy in the Animal Shelter Van. In the van, Max, Duke, Rooster, Chloe, Tiberius, Norman, Sweetpea, Mel, Buddy, and Snowball were also in cages next to her.

She already missed her owner.

Another bump caused her to jump and hit herself on the roof of the cage.

"Ow!"

On top of her, Duke laughed. "Ha! You bumped yourself-" Another bump caused him to hit himself on the roof.

They all laughed.

Time passed, Daisy noticed the sun was starting to set.

She yawned.

"Psst. Daisy." Snowball's voice caused her to open her eyes before she could sleep.

"Yeah?" She asked.

Were the rest asleep?

"What's your favorite thing to do?" He asked.

"Who, me? Oh, that's easy, just hanging around with you."

Snowball smiled. "That's odd, that's my favorite thing to do too!"

They both laughed.

"Would you believe me, if I said I saw an alien showering in my apartament's bathroom?"

"Seriously? Why wouldn't I?"

Daisy smiled. "Thanks, Fluff."

"You're welcome, Clover."

Those were nicknames they gave each other, Fluff for Snowball's fur, and Clover for another word for Daisy.

Daisy stook her paw out. "Friends?"

Snowball smiled and was about to place his own paw with her's and was supposed to say 'Forever'.

If the greatest bump ever didn't happen.

Everyone suddenly awoke, alarmed. Next thing they all knew, the door opened, sending the cages near the street.

Daisy, Snowball, Rooster, Sweetpea, Chloe, Tiberius, and Norman screamed as they got got closed to the open door and went flying outside!

Daisy hit the floor and walls of her cage with loud 'Oofs' and 'Ouch' seven times before her cage finally stopped rolling and send her outside.

She opened her eyes with groans of pain. When she finally managed to get up, she noticed her cage broke and immediatly rushed to see the others.

"Snowball! Duke! Tiberius! Where are you?"

Rustling came behind her, she jumped but then relaxed as she noticed it was Norman and Rooster.

From her left came Tiberius and Chloe, looking pained but Daisy thankfully couldn't see and scratches in them.

"Apart from my broken back, i'm doing wonderful." Tiberius said.

Now rustling was heard behind them and out came Snowball and Sweetpea.

They both rushed to each other. "Are you okay?" They both said in the same time. "I am, and you?" They both said again. They both then couldn't help but laugh a bit at that.

"Where is Max, Duke, Mel and Buddy?" Tiberius said anxiously.

They spend a while calling their names. But to no use.

Daisy then felt a raindrop. She looked at the sky. "What the..."

Another raindrop. This time harder. Soon another. And another. It soon started to rain.

"Ah, bark." Rooster said.

Snowball squinted at the rain. "They must had stayed in the car with the shelter workers."

"Most likely." Norman agreed.

"Well, we'll catch up, but we have to take shelter until the rain stops." Tiberius said.

They all nodded and walked, hoping to find a place to stay for the night.

Eventually, for what seemed like ages, they finally saw a roof that look like it belonged to a house, they all smiled before making their way to it.

"Yes! Yes!" Norman cried,"We finally found shelter-Holy Sweet House!!!" He stopped as they all saw the house.

Well, it wasn't really a house, it was a mansion, a big black one with at least five chimneys and with most of it's windows broken.

"I'm not sure about this anymore." Rooster said, looking at the mansion, Sweetpea tweeted with agreement.

Chloe rolled her eyes and headed towards the house. "Come on, it's just while the storm ends, then we'll try to find the Animal Shelter, it'll just be for the night."

Everyone followed, with Norman whispering behind them.

"If we make it through the night..."

From someone's POV, it looks from a window and down to the pets...

Noticing this, Daisy looked up, but before she could see who it was, the windows closed.

She frowned.

The gang climed or flied through the fence and went into the property, however, Norman had trouble.

"Umm... don't worry, keep up," he went the opposite way from the entrance to the house, "I'll just try to find the Animal Shelter and-"

Tiberius picked him up.

As she walked, Chloe thought something moved behind her, but when she turned, upon seeing nothing she just shrugged and moved on.

Everyone now approached the entrance, although the door was locked, there was a broken window, just the right size for everyone to get in.

"So, umm... who's going first?" Norman said.

Before anyone could even answer, something fast, big, and growling tackled Daisy, making her and her friends gasp.

"Daisy!"
