This is your emergency broadcast system announcing the commencement of the Annual Purge sanctioned by the U.S. Government. Weapons of class 4 and lower have been authorized for use during the Purge. All other weapons are restricted. Government officials of ranking 10 have been granted immunity from the Purge and shall not be harmed. Commencing at the siren, any and all crime, including murder, will be legal for 30 days. Police, fire, and emergency medical services will be unavailable until the 1st of April when The Purge concludes. Blessed be our New Founding Fathers and America, a nation reborn.

17 year old Alissa Hamilton is everything guys want and girls want to be. She's smart, rich, popular and drop-dead gorgeous. As the captain of the cheerleading team and her boyfriend being the star quarterback, she's considered High-school Royalty. But Alissa is far from perfect. Suffering from anxiety, an abusive family and a toxic boyfriend, she struggles against life.

But when the government announces that there's going to be a 30-day purge, Alissa teams up with an unlikely group of friends, and does what she needs to do to survive.

DOVE CAMERON as ALISSA HAMILTON

ALISSA HAMILTON is the cheer captain and High-school Royalty. Everyone looks up to her and expects her life to be perfect. Instead, her life is a living hell. With everything that comes with life, Alissa isn't afraid to get her hands a little dirty, and do what needs to be done in order to survive.

JOE KEERY as LUCAS RYAN

LUCAS RYAN is the definition of a class clown. Extroverted and easy to get along with, he never gives up the chance to woo girls with his charm and humour. He and Alissa have been friends since childhood, and are the only people who really know each other.

YOUNG CHRISTIAN SLATER as SAM ANDERSON

SAM ANDERSON, the school's infamous bad-boy. Brave, confident and assertive, Sam doesn't let anyone push him around. With a dark history and a tough facade, he hangs in the shadows, dealing with the wrong sorts of people

SADIE SINK as MAX MYRES

MAX MYRES keeps to herself as the new girl. Often hanging around in the back of classroom, headphones in, she doesn't care what people think of her. Often overlooked, Max is an incredibly intelligent and snarky person, it just takes a while for her to warm up.

SARA ECHEAGARAY as AVA TURNER

AVA TURNER is the nicest girl you will ever meet. Innocent and sweet, Ava is liked throughout the whole school. Never causing problems, she finds making friends easy. But being nice and never standing up for herself often means she gets taken advantage of.

JACOB ELORDI as TYLER JONES

TYLER JONES is the star quarterback and Alissa's boyfriend. Selfish and toxic, Tyler does anything to get his way. Master of manipulation, he often shames Alissa and uses her for his own benefit.
