By the time Alissa got to her classroom, everyone else was already there. As she opened the door, everyone's heads turned to look at her. Tyler gave her a quizzical look and in return, Alissa poked her tongue out playfully.

Her teacher, Mrs Young, cleared her throat. "Miss Hamilton, you're late. Care to explain yourself?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, sorry Mrs Young, I just had to go to the toilet for lady reasons." Alissa replied confidently. The class snickered and Mrs Young looked taken aback.

"Right, well, take a seat so I can begin the lesson."

Alissa nodded and walked to her seat at the back of the class. A few people subtly stuck out their hands for high-fives and she quietly high-fived them back. She placed down her books and sat down, popping in a wad of chewing gum. She discreetly pulled out her phone and started replying to her snaps. Occasionally, she'd look up, checking that the teacher wasn't noticing.

When Alissa looked up, she saw an unfamiliar face standing by the door. She had flaming red hair tied into two braids. She had wired earphones in, and a bored expression was plastered on her face. The clothes she was wearing were grungy and were giving off skater vibes. Alissa was puzzled. She knew everyone in her year level. From the popular crew, to the loners, she knew every face that roamed these halls. But for some reason, she didn't know this person.

"Well, as I was saying before, we've got a new student today. Her name is Max Myres. Everyone please make her feel welcome." Mrs Young ushered Max to her new seat, which just so happened to be next to Alissa.

Mrs Young turned to Alissa "Now Miss Hamilton, I expect you to show her around the school, seeing as you know it well enough."

Alissa rolled her eyes and turned her head to face Max. "Hi, my name's Alissa. Seems like I'll be showing you around school then," She said.

Max pulled out her earphones "Oh, yeah, seems like it." She put her earphones back in and turned to stare out the window.

Alissa shrugged and turned back to her phone. She was about to post on her story, when a text message appeared on her screen. Upon seeing who it was from, she quickly opened it.

Stuck with the new girl I see. You better not bail on lunch with me, or else.

Alissa sighed and sent a message back saying: Don't worry babe, I could never bail on you Xx

Slipping her phone back into her pocket, she leant over to Max. "Hey, uh, Max. Turns out I can't show you around today, I promised I'd meet up with my boyfriend. That cool?" Max just shrugged.

At lunch, Tyler was quick to drag Alissa away, denying her the chance to even say bye to her friends. Tyler's grip on her wrist was iron-hard, sure to add to the tally of bruises she's already got. He pulled her over to a table and placed her on it.

Alissa opened her lunchbox and went to start eating, but Tyler quickly moved it away. "Babe, you know you shouldn't be eating that much. We want you to lose weight, not gain it, yeah?" He said, grabbing her chin and lifting it up, so they were looking eye-to-eye.

Tears pricked the edges of Alissa's eyes but she didn't dare let them out. Instead, she swallowed the uncomfortable lump in her throat and nodded gently.

"Good girl," Tyler growled, bringing their lips together softly. He deepened the kiss by wrapping a hand around Alissa's waist and pulling her towards him. Tyler gently pulled apart.

"You're hot, you know that right?" He whispered huskily, resting a hand on Alissa's inner thigh and rubbing gentle circles. Just as Tyler was going in for another kiss, Lucas came running over. Alissa quickly scooted away, blushing furiously.

"I-uh, I hope I'm not interrupting anything, but I was just wanting to talk to Alissa real quick." Lucas said, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Well whatever you want to tell Liss, you can tell me," Tyler said, grabbing Alissa's thigh and squeezing gently. Tyler gave Lucas a challenging glare.

"Geez ok! You could cut the tension with a knife," Lucas chuckled awkwardly. "So, uh, Liss-"

"Only I can call her that." Tyler said, giving Lucas a deadly glare and squeezing tighter on Alissa's thigh, causing her to shift uncomfortably. But none of the boys seemed to notice.

"Dude, I've know her since kindergarten, you don't own her," Lucas said.

"Oh yeah? Well she is mine and only mine. So kindly, fuck off." Tyler's grip got even tighter. Alissa winced at the pain surging up her leg.

"Dude, stop, you're hurting her!" Lucas said, noticing the discomfort on Alissa's face. Concern washed over Lucas' face at the sight of his best friend in so much pain. Lucas tried to push away Tyler's arm, but Tyler pushed him to the side and made his grip even tighter on her thigh. By now, the pain was clearly visible on Alissa's face. A smug look washed over Tyler's face and he cockily raised an eyebrow.

"FUCKING STOP THIS ISN'T FUNNY!" Lucas yelled, trying his hardest to pull Tyler off Alissa. But every time he pulled, Tyler applied more and more pressure.

"Oh really, pretty boy? I thought you were the class clown. To you, everything's funny." Tyler winked at Lucas and moved his hand from Alissa's thigh to her ass. He squeezed extremely hard, causing Alissa to let out a tiny yelp of pain.

Lucas completely lost it and shoved Tyler off her, causing Tyler to go flying to the ground. Lucas took this as an opportunity and started punching Tyler's face. Blood started trickling out of Tyler's nose. Panting, Lucas paused to catch his breath, and Tyler took this as a chance to flip Lucas around and started punching him. There was now blood coming out of both their noses and Lucas had a severely split lip.

Lucas managed to shove Tyler off him and he stood up, spitting out blood. "Liss, get out of here." He said, copping a hard blow to the cheek.

Alissa hesitated.  "I SAID GET OUT OF HERE!" He yelled, punching Tyler square in the nose.

Alissa nodded and ran to get a teacher, leaving the two boys covered in blood.
