Y/N POV

Y/N and Raditz trained on an uninhabited island- the training was brutal and merciless, but effective. And at night, Y/N would ask questions, trying to fill the gaps in his memory.

His first, was about the saiyans. Raditz in turn answered multiple questions that had popped into Y/N's head with his explanation. The saiyans were a warrior race, with the power to transform under the light of the full moon, that lived in planet Vegeta. They conquered other planets and sold them to the highest bidder. The 4 of them were the last saiyans alive, excluding Kakarot since he had yet to be revived by the 'Dragon Balls'. Their planet had been blown up by a meteor while we were on a mission on another planet. Y/N was a guard and had been assigned Vegeta. While He didn't need it, Y/N still took on anyone that he deemed a threat to the Prince unless ordered me to stand down.
Nappa, Vegeta's advisor, was a dull witted giant of a saiyan who only knew how to fight and kill. Nothing more than a mercenary assigned to help the Prince. Though, while he is an oaf, he's still incredibly dangerous. However.... He was also the man who raised the three of them, Raditz, Y/N, and Vegeta, after they were orphaned by the planet's destruction.
Lastly, Y/N asked about Frieza, a godlike creature who seemed to despise their race, and why Vegata still  followed him.
Raditz didn't seem to have much of an answer, other than that Frieza was the one who led them and that he was insanely powerful. He had a rather large army and the power to destroy planets at his fingertips. And Vegeta.. He was everything but loyal to the space emperor, using him to get what he wants.

The next night, instead of asking questions, the two hid in a cave away from the full moon. in the distance, Y/N heard the roars of an untamed beast.
"..Seems Piccolo forgot about the transformation," He heard Raditz say - Y/N didn't so much as even glance at him, "I didn't even think the half-breed would be able to transform-" he confessed.
"Well, the brat had a tail didn't he.?" Y/N asked.
Raditz nodded, humming because of course Y/N wouldn't look at him.. Why would he bother looking at a low class weakling? "Honestly surprised they haven't cut it off yet, Y/N.. I mean my brother had, so why wouldn't he cut off his son's as well-"
They sat there in silence for a brief moment, ".....You said he hit his head right? And he forgot his mission? Perhaps he never remembered he could transform?-"
Raditz' eyes widened at his superior's words and, at that, He stood up and tried to run out of the cave before his arm was grabbed by Y/N- stopping from leaving the cave- Only then did Y/N look at him.
"Don't. If you leave now the Blutz Waves will transform you- Wait it out.."
Raditz turned to look back outside before looking back to him and nodded, "I'll wait until tomorrow, Y/N.. Then, we go cut off that kid's tail."
"The scouters are broken, you won't be able to find the brat.." The words had some bite to them- He did not like being ordered around by a low-class saiyan.. He let go of Raditz, crossing his arms and looking away with an annoyed huff, his tail flicking back and forth in an irritated manner.
Raditz just.. nodded slowly- He was used to this. He was the weakest, only kept around because  'us saiyans have to stick together' (Nappa's idea).. Raditz knew Vegeta only kept him around because he thought Raditz still had his uses. He knew what type of man the prince was- He'd be thrown away the moment he stopped being useful.

Days later, the two were woken up by the sound of laughter. Y/N walked out of the cave to find Kakarot's son playing with a sabertoothed tiger on the beach.
"Hey." You snapped.
The boy turned around when he heard the voice and jumped up before running up to me, "What are you doing here, Sir?" the little boy asked.
"I should be asking you that.
"I just woke up on the beach" Gohan replied.
"I see," I replied, "Raditz! Your nephew is here." He yelled- He said 'nephew' almost mockingly.
As Raditz came out of the trees he looked towards Y/N, and then to the boy. "How in the hell- Where's the green man?"
The boy hid behind your legs "Uncle is scary, Sir.."
Y/N bit back a groan, eye twitching- He was the scarier one, Gohan just hadn't seen him in action. "Kid says he woke up on the beach... It may be the green man's doing.. Perhaps he wanted him to spend time with his uncle... Or it could be that he wants us to train the brat.."
Raditz sighed, "Dumbass Namek just left him here with no warning... Could've at least left a note or some shit-"
"Fucks sake.." Y/N said as he readjusted the couter and vambrace of his saiyan armor, "Might as well train him since he's here.. Maybe he'll be useful after all.."

THIRD PERSON POV

After three months of rigorous training Raditz and Y/N decide to take Gohan home. Piccolo had stopped by in the middle of the night a few times to check in- And, no, the saiyans had yet to call the slug man by his real name.. They were a bit racist towards the alien- spacist?

The first night he stopped by, he explained that he did indeed send him to train with his fellow saiyans, saying it'd be good to learn from people from his own race.

During his last appearance, he checked on how Gohan was doing and stayed to talk to the saiyan warriors for a short while before heading back to the desert to train. Something about pyramids..

In the morning, Y/N and Raditz flew Gohan back home- Well, Y/N made Raditz take care of it without him. Let the boy hang out with his uncle while Y/N did fuck all and nursed his growing migraine... What the brat did after was none of his concern..

***

When Raditz dropped his nephew off, he thanked the his scary uncle (he wasn't as scary anymore) and Raditz headed back to the island. Little did he know that Piccolo was watching and Gohan had decided to go back with him instead of visiting his mother, Chi-Chi.
And Raditz found himself getting attached to the half saiyan- God fucking damn it, Raditz..
(And... the brat was starting to grow on Y/N too..)

***

The last few months they had before their prince and his attendant arrived was spent training in the mountains. Y/N and Raditz spent the days training in the snow, sparring with their eyes closed to better their abilities. Many hits missed, but the ones that landed were powerful. Eventually, they figured out how to sense energy, and not only did that help with training, but it also let them keep an eye on the others.
Raditz was catching up to Y/N.. Which Y/N didn't like. The low-class saiyan was catching up to him. And we couldn't have that now, could we? So Y/N trained alone at night, using heavy boulders as weights and dodging his own ki blasts with his eyes closed- things like that.

I don't plan on making Y/N stronger than Goku since y'know- but I plan on giving him up to Blue. Assuming I ever get that far with the writing- Perhaps he'll get his own form...
Edit: Big changes to Y/N's personality- He does not like Gohan, or Raditz... And is spacist (I'll stop the spacism after a while don't worry but this is all to make him more saiyan..)
Anyways thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed~
