Manik was driving and Nandini was lost in her thoughts. Manik was time to time glancing at her and observing her facial expressions.

After some time they reached maniks penthouse.

Manik tapped on Nandini's shoulder who was still lost in her thoughts and placed their bags on the floor.

We have reached. Saying manik pulled nandini with him towards the lift and nandini who was shocked due by the sudden pull looked at him with wide eyes.

What, stop giving me those looks. From the time we left Malhotra Mansion I observed that you are lost somewhere so I thought it's better to take you inside or if my fans see me here they will gather here. You know I'm very popular, right?

Manik said with a teasing smirk and winked at the last.

Nandini's pov

Hayee he looks so hot when he winked at me but that doesn't give him any right to tease me so I replied with a Poker face

If you are done then can we please leave,

Sure Mrs. Nandini Manik Malhotra,
He replied with his charming smile

Manan entered Manik's penthouse

It was a fully furnished 3bhk apartment with a combination of black and white decor and Nandini was not impressed looking at the interior would be a lie.

Maniks POV

Looking at Nandini's expressions I can say that she liked the interiors and I felt satisfied seeing her happy.

Manik why there is only one bedroom?
Nandini asked with confused expressions

Why is there any problem? Didn't you like it?
I asked her but I think that she doesn't want to share the room with me that's why.

No, I liked it, I just asked because if any guests or our friends come here then where will they stay?

Actually, when I purchased this house, I decided that I'll stay here with the person I love. So I decided to convert the other rooms into a jam room and gym

Nandini nodded thinking something and I said

Let us eat something. We didn't have our lunch also.

After having lunch the rest of the day was spent adjusting ourselves to each other's presence.

At night.

Nandini was in the shower and I was about to sleep on the couch when nandini came out wiping her hair.

Seeing me sleeping on the couch she said,

Manik why are you sleeping here and not on the bed?

I looked at her with a confused expression.
I mean she was asking about those other rooms, if she is comfortable sharing the bed with me then why would she ask about it?

She shook my shoulders slightly to break my trance.

What, why are you behaving like those shy daughter-in-law of tv serials? I don't have any problem with sharing the bed with you and this bed is big enough for us.
She said making faces.

I didn't like being compared but I was relieved that she wasn't uncomfortable with me

So I quietly slept on the bed.
And manan slept facing each other.

After 1 week

In this one week, both Manik and Nandini got a lot more comfortable with each other.

They have started talking like close friends unlike their past formal conversation

Manik was getting ready in his room while Nandini was preparing the breakfast

Manik don't leave without eating anything.
Nandini warned manik who was about to leave the house

Nandini yaar I have a very important meeting today and I can't be late for it.
Manik replied while wearing his shoes.

Nandini said please making a puppy face and  started feeding Manik the breakfast

you are taking the wrong advantage of our friendship Mrs. Malhotra
Manik said with a teasing smirk

Why do you have any problem, Mr. Malhotra?
Nandini replied with a smile.

No, why would I have any problem?
Manik replied making an innocent face

When will you be back from the trip?
Nandini asked him.

In two or three days. I'll try to be back before you rejoin your college. Now I'll leave otherwise I'll be late.
Manik replied and walk towards the door

Fine and all the best for your meeting
replied Nandini who was walking behind Manik.

And listen don't open the door without checking. And if there is any emergency or if you need anything then call me

Nandini nodded in reply and said
Bye. Call me once you reach

I'll call you once i reach and now go inside
he said and waited for her to get inside and close the door.
