The government was forced to act quickly. Although they didn't realise it at first, the amount of infected people in the world increased exponentially in recent days. They were forced to quarantine the cities and towns which contained infected people. They were forced to make sure that they left the infected city immediately upon arrival. And most importantly, they were required to evacuate the infected city to another one. Once they found out what they were really dealing with, they tried desperately to save the sickest infected people, hoping that maybe one day, they'll be able to find a cure for the disease. But even after months of searching, nothing worked. They continued trying and failed in their attempt to save the sick.
Then they discovered the cure for the disease. It was supposed to save the world from the disaster they brought upon the planet. They believed that it was going to change everything. They thought that it was going to change mankind. Instead of helping humanity, this cure brought about the opposite effect. Humans continued turning into zombies. They continued to become monsters. People still became sick. Disease still spread. More people died. The infected people started killing one another and taking over whole cities. The governments decided it was safer for humans to stay in the countryside, in places where they weren't exposed to the new virus.
But they also knew that once humans became infected, their ability to control themselves would be useless. They'd be controlled by their own instincts. Their brains would cease to think and they'd become mindless killers. It seemed that this virus wasn't caused by the virus itself but rather by an imbalance in brain chemistry. An imbalance that was caused by the presence of a small percentage of the human race that possessed the virus that caused it. They had to find a way to reverse the balance and stop this virus from growing ever bigger and becoming dangerous. But they had no idea what they're doing.
One day, during a meeting held by the scientists and politicians, it happened. The scientist responsible for developing the antidote to the virus said, "If someone gets bitten, they'l become rabid." Suddenly, several scientists and the leaders of the government stood and announced that they were going on a mission to find this cure. They asked the scientists to take care of any problems that might arise while they were gone. When they left the room, the politicians called the head of the CDC and informed him. He immediately put together his top team and started preparing the antidote for the epidemic.
