Sam and I sit in a booth in a random bar. The bar is pretty nice, it's dim but neon signs light up the walls and chill music drafts through the air from a jukebox. Sam and I chat over a couple of drinks, while Dean flirts with a girl only a few feet away. I see him flash his signature smirk and I roll my eyes, focusing my attention back onto Sam.

"I know we promised you a break after this hunt, so, does cinema or bowling sound good?"

"Hum... maybe cinema? I feel like you two would be way too competitive at bowling,"

Sam scowls and I smile playfully. Suddenly, Dean scoots into the booth next to me, cheeks tinted pink. There's a pause where Sam and I just look at him and he stares back, lips pursed together. "What happened?" I ask.

"Huh? Nothing," Dean dismisses unconvincingly. He rubs the back of his neck and shifts in his seat.

"Come on," Sam presses, looking from the girl and back to Dean.

"Ok!" Dean gives in, "I was doing my thing, right? Charming as ever, and well," he laughs nervously, "She goes 'I'm really flattered but I'm a lesbian' and I just froze and awkwardly babbled something and walked off."

Sam and I raise our eyebrows and smirk - for different reasons though, I'm sure.

"That's never happened before," says Dean quietly and it's funny seeing him this embarrassed.

"Don't feel bad Dean, you couldn't have known," says Sam through a smirk, half-trying to make his brother feel better.

"A lesbian, you say...?" I wonder out loud, and Dean and Sam shoot me puzzled looks. Without another word, I pass past Dean and approach the girl. She's utterly beautiful, with big brown eyes and curled blonde hair.

"Hey, I'm y/n. I don't usually do this, but I know if I didn't introduce myself, I'd be thinking about it all night."

She tilts her head and smiles warmly, "Hi y/n, I'm Marina. Nice to meet you," she offers her hand, and I shake it politely. I notice a delicate rainbow bracelet on her wrist and smile to myself.

"Yeah, I saw your bracelet from across the bar and my gaydar went crazy."

"You sure? Your introduction had nothing to do with that guy, Dean, telling you I rejected him?" she smirks, glancing over to the Winchesters, wiggling her fingers at Dean. He waves back, flustered, and I blush a little.

"Ok, you got me," I say, "He may have mentioned it. Can I buy you a drink?" I ask hopefully.

"Sure, I'd like that," She places her hand on my thigh and she giggles at my widened eyes. "You're cute."

"I'll take that," I say quietly, catching the bartender's attention, ordering us two beers.

We hit it off, talking for about an hour and I forget all about Sam and Dean. I glance over to them and catch Dean's gaze. He mouths 'what the fuck?' at me so I turn back to Marina, ignoring him. If Dean picks up chicks every other night, and Sam too occasionally, why can't I? And this girl... she's so funny and we like the same stuff. Plus, she flirts with me effortlessly.

"Hey, do you wanna get out of here? I'm staying at the adjoining motel." I suggest, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

"Yeah, I'm staying there too. I could... meet you there in 10?" she winks, sliding a key card over to me.

It takes everything in me to keep my cool. "Yeah." I manage to choke out, sliding the barstool backwards.

"I'm looking forward to it," she whispers in my ear before walking out of the bar. I watch her walk away, mind racing with very specific thoughts.

I wander back over to Sam and Dean, a smile plastered to my face. I retrieve my handbag from the table, throwing it over my shoulder.

"Going somewhere?" Dean asks, tilting his head to one side.

"Yup." I deadpan, enjoying their confusion.

"Y/n... What is going on?" Sam can't help but question and I shake my head with a smirk.

"Oh Sammy," I sigh, placing a few dollars down on the table, "That's for my soda." I add before turning on my heel and leaving the bewildered brothers.

The next morning, I say goodbye to Marina and thank her for an amazing night. She grins and presses a napkin with her number scrawled on it into my hand.

I find the room I was supposed to be spending the night in and knock twice. I'm met with a bed-headed Sam who lets me in. Dean is sitting on the edge of a neatly made bed and his head snaps up when he sees me.

"Morning," I say casually, "Ready to go?" I don't wait for a response and open the door again, stepping out.

"Hold on a sec, y/n." says Sam, slinging his backpack over his shoulder and joining me in the hallway.

"Yeah!" calls Dean, joining us.

We start down the hall, heading to check out.

"Dude, that was kinda gay." Dean remarks and I snort.

"Oh my gosh, Dean. Well, firstly, my sex life has nothing to do with you, but, if you must know, I'm not much for labels."

"You're not?" Sam looks at me intently.

"I don't know. People are hot, I like who I like." I shrug. "So don't worry, you've still got a chance," I wink, and Sam averts his eyes, looking at the floor with a quiet laugh.

"Hum. Cool." comments Dean. He waits a beat before shouting, "Shotgun!"

I groan, "I sat in the back on the way here!"

"Tough, I called shotgun." Dean smiles childishly and I jab him in the ribs. "Hey!"
