ATHEN HAD NEVER SEEN ANYTHING MORE BEAUTIFUL THEN THE BUILDING THAT WAS PRESENTED IN FRONT OF HER. The Gothic build was something that seemed to desperately seek attention.

It's grey stone bricks aged with time, darkening with each year that passed. The light and dark grey complemented each other creating a beautiful contrast. Stained glass towered over Athen, standing at least 30 feet tall. Plants and weeds grew from the ground, even though they were a tad unkempt it helped complement the feel the building gave off. And despite the building being older then Athen herself it seemed to be in excellent condition.

Stars danced around the moon as Athen trailed behind the male, admiring the beautiful building. She desperately wanted to stop and stare but she knew she couldn't.  A few people chatted outside, all dressed in black looking as if they were attending a funeral.

All noise stopped when Athen rounded the corner to face the people though. They all stopped and stared, making the female feel uncomfortable. Her hand went to fiddle with her sleeve, her eyes casted down to her platformed converse.

Emeritus immediately picked up on her uncomfortableness and cleared his throat, telling people to stop staring. And that they did. Many went back to watering the plants others turned back and continued talking.

Athen was pleased that not everyone was staring anymore but she was still annoyed when many of them snuck glances. They all knew she was a vampire it was obvious from the blood stained around her mouth to the way she walked or even smelled. Vampires gave off a scent of flowers and death anyone could smell it supernatural or not, it was obvious.

"Um are all of them humans?" Athen questioned him as he continued to lead her to the building.

"No, not all of them, just the people outside. We take in pretty much every species from werewolves to sirens."  He answered glancing at her as he walked. "You are the first vampire though."

Athens mouth opened slightly but closed after she realized that it made sense. Vampires were a dying species meaning that there was only a handful left and majority of them wouldnt let themselves live among others like this.

"Yeah that makes sense I guess."

Emeritus only hummed and grabbed her arm as they approached the big wooden doors to the front of the building. He pulled her to a stop and turned her to face him. "When we get in here you have to stay by my side. Don't wander and get yourself in trouble."

Athens eyebrows furrowed for a second before she reluctantly answered.

"Okay." The blonde nodded and watched as he turned back and opened the doors. His armed slipped around her waist as he began to walk forward as a way to keep her close. The flighty feeling of butterflies erupted in her stomach but she ignored it as she walked through the beautiful building.

The inside was just as beautiful as the outside. The gold and black accented decor scattered and filled the building. The colors complemented each other and created a cozy but dark feeling within Athens head. More people were scattered among the inside and this time Athen could smell a bunch of different scents. Some smelt like wet  dog, the werewolves, others smelt like herbs and plants, witches.

Just like outside all heads snapped towards them as her scent filled their noses. Almost everyone looked toward her with amazement and shock while a small group of werewolves in the back glared at her with hatred.

Vampires and werewolves have always been against eachother. Just like how they were in books and tv shows, they were natural enemy's. They tore eachother apart when they got the chance and for that Athen was worried as she watched them stare at her with a burning rage in their eyes.

"I won't let them hurt you." The promise fell from the males lips and went into deaf ears. The blue eyed female knew that there was nothing he could do to actually keep his promise but she didn't say anything as he then continued to drag her along as he glared at the pack. He knew that the dogs only held bad intentions and if they just simply looked at Athen the wrong way they were gone.

Vampires were a protected species due to their almost extinction. Nobody, human or not, would be able to touch one of them without participating in a fit punishment. The werewolves knew this but they didn't care.

Vampires in their minds were supposed to be dead. They did nothing but kill innocents for nothing but there own good. And for that the threat of death wouldn't stop them from killing off the race all together.

"Let me show you your room then I'll take you down to meet the ghouls, that is if your up for it." Athens eyes trailed from the wolves to the hallway they began walking. The main area and dogs was forgotten behind them at the mention of the ghouls. Excitement coursed through the females veins as she anxiously nodded as a way to say she was up for it.

A smile etched it's way onto the males face at her excitement. He was happy she was excited but a part of him was scared.

The ghouls had never met a vampire before and the way that majority of them are so hostile with others made him nervous. What if they didn't like her and treated her like everyone else? She would be crushed and he didn't want that. But there was no turning back now she was already so ready to meet them and he couldn't just tell her no.

The duo made there way through fairly lit up hallways, all decorated to perfection.

A shocked yelp left Athens throat as Emeritus gripped her waist and pulled her to a sudden stop. He turned her to face a wooden dark brown door, it was plain yes but Athen couldn't have been more excited.

The male looked towards Athen in a way to ask if she was ready to go in and once a goofy smile crossed her features he smiled and opened the door.

The inside was hotel like. You walked in and looked to the right and there was a modern looking bathroom. But as you went forward, past the bathroom, you were faced with a large bed with black sheets and a tv mounted on the wall across from it.

There was a brown bookshelf on the right wall that was filled with what seemed to be old classics, which Athen was greatful for. And finally there was a small leather chair on the left of the bed next to a built in closet.

"Woah.." Athen breathed as she walked further into the room. The wooden floor creaked under her but she was to memorized by the room to notice.

At the place her old pack stayed in she had a small room with just a bed, nothing more so Athen couldn't help but fall captive to the room.

"Do you like it?" Emeritus asked. Athen looked towards him and nodded immediately. Of course she liked it, how couldn't she? It was perfect from the bookshelf to the bathroom.

Emeritus smiled at her fondness of the room, watching as she moved to trace her fingers over the old spines of the books. He was glad she was here and it was obvious.

After a little while the male that stood back cleared his throat. "Do you want to stay and get comfortable or do you want to meet the ghouls and come back later?"

The blondes head whipped up immediately.

"Ghouls."
