Rv pov:

Red Velvet observed Pastry as she petted the cakehound once again. It's like she was a whole new cookie now. He didn't know she had this side of her, so sweet and not bitter. Does she also see him like that? They both came across as so cold at their first meeting.. He shock his head lightly.

- It's getting late, perhaps you'd like to eat something." Red Velvet looked at her for a while. He doesn't actually know much outside of these walls. If Pastry came all the way here she must have escaped some pretty bad cookies.

- Oh I must have drained a lot of time.. is there still food left?" Pastry sighed and gave him a desperate look. He raised an eyebrow and searched for words. (She hasn't been a lot outside of those walls either.)

- There isn't strict food schedules here, and there's enough food for everyone." She nodded and he could see something behind her eyes. He hasn't felt this feeling before, not towards a cookie. He never thought he'd see her again, definitely not here right beside him. It's not a bad surprise.

Red Velvet gave a quick command to Chiffon and Galette to go lay down somewhere. He then grabbed Pastry by the arm and dragged her with him once again.

- What is it with you and dragging me??" She said and Red Velvet stopped infront of the exit.

- Just naturally comes to mind, but if you can walk by yourself at the right pace, go ahead." He looked back at her with a smile.

- Ofcourse I can!" She said and moved her arm away from him. She's still arrogant, nothing changed there. Red Velvet opened the door for her and waited for her to go through before going himself. When they both where outside of the room, he closed it.

- May I ask how it was like back where you came from?" Velvet said out of curiosity.

- T-the Order? It was.." She looked down at the ground.

- You don't have to answer if you don't want to, that's fine. It was a stupid question."

- It's probably what you already know. Poor sleep, poor environment..." Pastry centred her vision on the ceiling and closed her eyes.

- Atleast here you don't have any prayers you can miss." He said and looked at her slight smile. (There's more between the lines. She seems to be having a much better time here, I see it on her. Pastry seems so much happier.. I seem much happier.)

Pastry pov:

Just thinking of the Order is tiresome, almost like the need to wake up early for yet another prayer. All for what? As they continued through the place she looked around. It was well polished everywhere. At last they arrived.

- I should have thought of giving you something earlier. Well this is the kitchen, it even has a cozy table."

The room was big with floor tiles that reminded her of a chessboard but with black being replaced by a buttery yellow. Red Velvet pointed at a chair by the table and she went to sit on it.
He opened the fridge and a few shelves, picked out a few items and put them down. Bread, butter, various jams, milk, juices and even some jellies were now on the table. She observed the food but her eyes didn't like the sight. She was hungry, very, but the look of so much food made her feel greedy. She didn't want Red Velvet to think she was unhappy with what he offered, either.

 - Thank you but I think I'll be fine with just a slice of bread and a bit of milk"

 - And I think not." He said firmly.

Pastry was hesitant but ended up smearing a slice of bread with butter and jam. Then she poured some juice into the empty glass.

- Are you sure you don't want more?" Red Velvet looked at everything else that remained and then back at her.

- I'm just not used to this much being given to me.. I'm very thankful, but I didn't earn this."

- Everyone deserves to be treated fairly, and according to me you are worth enough to get well fed."

- ..." Why did it matter how much she ate? Did he.. care? Or did he not want her to pass out again? Whatever he was probably right. She didn't eat in very long and definitely didn't want to pass out like how she did on the stairs. Pastry grabbed a few more slices of bread and smeared them. When she was finished with her meal she took a couple jellies and glanced at Red Velvet for a look of approval.

- Take them all." He said as if he could read what's on her mind. Pastry took the rest and held them in her palms.

- ..Thanks I haven't eaten a good meal like that in a while." Pastry didn't want to think about how much time that was exactly. She didn't want to focus on the past, she's in a completely different place now.

- No problem, like I said there's food for everyone almost any time." While Red Velvet stored the rest of the goods back into their places, she put a jelly into her mouth. When was the last time she had one? It has been so long that she had forgotten the sweet taste of the candy. Pastry without second thought took another. All the jellies were quickly gone. Nobody has ever been this generous to her to give her this much, only as reward for whatever she accomplished. Pastry looked at Red Velvet who was pretending to not be watching her.

- Thanks for everything, it's appreciated. A thank you may not repay all the effort back but just so you know. "

- You don't have to repay me any of the effort, I'm just following my commands to take care of you."

- Yeah yeah, ofcourse." She giggled.

- What's so funny?" Red Velvet smirked and stared at her and she stared at him. When they made eye contact she blushed a tiny and looked away.

- I haven't had anyone care about me like this before, it feels a little unusual. Especially when that one person is you." Pastry carefully glanced over at him, he didn't say anything and shrugged.

- Things do work differently here, I'm glad you feel at home. And.." Red Velvet stopped talking and Pastry guessed he was at loss of words. (He probably ran out of nice things to say..) She took a last look at him before she started feeling strange. For some reason she lost all energy and her vision started fading slowly.

- I feel odd.." She mumbled and felt herself slowly lose balance. Everything became a blur. She could see Red Velvet's mouth moving, but all she could hear was her own faint heartbeat. As the panic took over, Pastry fought to keep her eyes open but gave in when she realised it's no use. Her body fell towards the ground like a lone crumb.
