"are you serious?" myunghee questioned.
kiya nodded. "yeah, from one until three."
"the skating competition officially starts at seven. you guys can get there easily," hyerin spoke. "i'm going to grab more prawns."
one seafood hyerin could eat and never, ever get tired of was prawns with lemon juice so she was taking the opportunity to have as many as she could here.
"don't eat all of the prawns, leave some for me," jeno joked.
he also liked them a lot.
"sorry." she laughed. "here."
before she could leave, he held her back. "do you want to go with us to the pool later tonight for a quick swim?"
"doesn't it close at nine?"
he grinned. "as if we've ever gone by the rules."
she considered it before her lips curved into a smile. "what time?"
"eleven?"
hyerin nodded. "i'll see you guys there."
before she went to sit back down, she noticed dongmin and myunghee sat close together with their knees touching and she had a hand on one of his thighs. they were sat so close to each other.
hyerin tried to cover up her smile before sitting down and, when she did, dongmin excused himself to sit with his guy friends. leaving the girls together. then, as dessert time came, kiya was whisked away by her football friends leaving myunghee and hyerin by themselves.
"would you date donghyuck if you could?"
hyerin almost choked on her jelly. "what kind of question is that?"
"certainly not a rhetorical one, please answer." myunghee sat patiently waiting for a response with a cute smile.
"no." her answer was said without hesitation and pretty quickly.
"why?"
she set her spoon down, making it clamour onto the plate. "why are you asking me this?"
"can we go talk somewhere more private?" she whispered.
"can i finish my jelly?"
myunghee told her to go for it and, when she finished, they went for another walk around the hotel. in complete silence, which went against the whole purpose of "talking".
"so what is it? or are we going to be walking around in silence?"
"have you ever had a crush on one of your friends?"
she knew where this was going.
"if this is your way of telling me you have a crush on dongmin and kiya, i know." she snickered. "what happened to that guy you went on a date with?"
myunghee shrugged her shoulders. "he's a nice guy but i can't use him to get over my feelings."
at least she had the decency to do that.
