I spent the evening finishing homework. I made myself dinner and took a shower. My mom had the nightshift at the diner tonight so I would be home alone for a while. I sat down trying to relax and opened Instagram. The very first post on my feed was a video from the cafeteria. "... you're just as useless as trash," the room filled up with laughter and the video ended. Vision blurred again, I clicked on the comments,

Alex_f231: Omg maybe she smelled better after

Laila9063: Send me that video!!! Funniest thing ever

Xo_kayla_oX: ugh why does she even come to school

I was ready to throw my phone across the room before I saw someone responded to Laila.

jaedenwesley: She never did anything to you, leave her alone

Laila9063: omg another wierdo sticking up for another weirdo lol

Who is Jaeden and why does he care? Defeated, I went back to my room. My window leads out to the roof, where I spend my time alone on a bad day, but lately it's more like an everyday thing. As I tried to calm myself down I opened up the window and climbed out.

I was sitting with a blanket wrapped around me watching the sunset when I see movement out of the corner of my eye. I turn my head toward my neighbor's house, and I see the neighbor's son opening his curtains. I quickly turn away hoping he didn't see me looking, but I'm just so curious. Ever since they moved in over the summer, I never really got to meet them. I glance in his direction again and he's still looking at me. I pretend I don't see and open my phone trying to seem busy. He must have noticed because I look back and he's gone.

Eventually there's no sun left, and the fall air is starting to get to me so I head back inside. I get ready for bed and slowly drift off to sleep.
