Time passed as Eloise laid on a metal cage next to Charlie wearing the same white things Charlie was wearing.
She groaned as the lights broke through the sedative that was running through her veins.
Eloise fluttered her eyes open and looked around before seeing her mom and a man covered in bruises.
She froze as tears fell down her face.
She felt groggy and dizzy from the sedative as she heard the chanting.
She cried out as she realised why she was here.
She heard Owen talk about the purge as well as his beliefs as Charlie tried to reach out to Eloise.
Eloise didn't want to die like this.
Not by Owen and the NFFA as well as the new founding fathers.
She didn't even get to tell Leo that she loved him and that she always felt things for him.
He will never know the truth and it was eating her alive.
Minutes passed was the priest-dressed man walked to them.
Eloise closed her eyes as she pictured that she was somewhere else, anywhere else but the church.
The man took the bruised man as Charlie shouted and fought against the restraints.
Eloise kept her eyes closed as she started to feel sick.
Owen talked fit a little longer before she heard the man beg over and over.
Charlie begged for it to stop as Eloise kept her eyes shut.
The begging made her heart shatter as all this put her back to eighteen years ago.
She wanted to forget but couldn't as she heard everything going on behind the curtain separating her and her mom from the ones watching murder.
She then heard chanting minutes later.
She opened her eyes to see the man dead.
She froze before looking at her mom.
"I love you mom," Eloise said as her house became muffled by the gag.
"I love you too," said Charlie.
Eloise knew they were going to die.
Suddenly the man was taken back into the room they were in.
Eloise looked at the man before looking at the man that was taking the bodies out.
He grabbed two white pieces of fabric and put them on Charlie and Eloise.
This was it.
All that fighting and this was how Eloise would die.
They both were pushed onto a stage causing lights to blind Eloise.
Owen talked about his beliefs before taking off the fabric covering both Eloise's and Charlie's heads.
She saw everyone ad they all cheered about them being here to be killed so Owen could win the election.
Suddenly Owen called up the founding fathers as Eloise started to shut down.
Minutes passed as Owen put holy water on both Eloise and Charlie as all the founding fathers stood around the both of them.
Eloise didn't try to fight back as she realised there was no way out of this.
No one would come for them and in a few hours, she and her mom would be dead.
She looked up "Leo I love you" she whispered so quietly only she could hear it before she looked back at Owen.
This was the end and the only thing she wished is for Leo to never blame himself for this.
