"We're here," Andy sings as he gets out of the car, comes to my side and opens the door for me. He also helps me out of the car since I have a blindfold on.
"Finally," I say as I stretch out my legs. "What time is it?"
"6:16."
"Oh my, God, are you serious?"
"Yeah."
"We've been driving for four hours? " I didn't remember most of the ride beside CC's phone call and a silly joke Andy told.
(Flashback to the car ride)
"Did you hear about the man whose left side was cut off?" He asked in a serious manner.
"Uh... no... Was it on the news?"
"No," he chuckled. "It isn't on the news, but he's all. Right. Now."
I laughed. "Oh! You tried to tell me a joke!"
We both laughed at his slightly funny joke.
"Yeah, it was a long drive." He laughs at me trying to feel my way around.
"I don't remember most of it!"
"You were asleep.... but you did talk a bit."
My face goes pale white. "Wha- What did I say?"
"You sang Walk Away, Saviour, and The Gunsling perfectly along with Bowling for Soup's Here's Your Freakin' Song, 1985, and Three Days Grace's I Am Machine, Car Crash, and Bully. There were a couple of others too." He smiles.
"Gunsling is one of my favorites," I laugh and then ask, "What about The End Is Not The Answer? Or The Wanted's All Time Low? "
"Yeah. Those too."
"Dang." I breathe out. Most of those songs are about break ups. Was my subconscious trying to say that I should break up with Andy?
Yes. He's going to hurt you, a little voice in my head whispers.
He wouldn't dare. He loves me, I think.
So he says...
I know he wouldn't.
He's going to hurt you. You need to ditch him before he lets you down just like every other guy you've known.
I shake the voice from my mind as Andy leads me in to a building. He takes off my blindfold after sitting me on a couch or a bed? After it's off, I can tell that it's a really comfortable chair.
I look at my surroundings.
There is a fireplace made of stone with a warm cozy fire roaring inside. I've always loved those types of fireplaces, and the slight sight of one thrills me to no end. That, however, is not what trick Andy will pull from his sleeve. This is just a guess I have as he gets on his knees in front of me and takes my hands.
"Wow, Andy. This is really nice." I smile. "I've always loved these types of fireplaces!"
"We're not to the best part of the evening yet, and you're tickled to death by a stone fireplace." Andy laughs, and God does it sound magical.
"Hush, Andy." I blush.
"You look so cute when you're embarrassed." Andy's hand tucks some stray strands behind my ear.
"How many times are you gonna say that to me?" I laugh. Every time I blush and get totally embarrassed, he tells me this. After 2 months and 1 week of dating. You think he would finally grow tired of it. It isn't annoying. I kind of find it cute.
"Until it stops being true." He smiles back. "Which is never."
"Annnndddyyy," I moan. He just laughs and pulls me up out of the chair.
"Come on, my love." He hugs me. "I've much more to show you."
