(Genevieve's POV)
Andy makes me wear a blindfold as soon as we get in his car. Blindfolds make me nervous and a little panicky, but I am determined to keep my cool in front of him. I put my phone in the glove box and put on the blindfold.
We drive for a good while, and everything is nice and quiet with the exception of the Louisville Classic Rock Station (95.7) and a few small conversations with Andy---- until my phone goes off.
I search with my hands for the glove box latch to open it, and I can hear Andy muffle his laughter with his own hand.
"Shut up," I say playfully as I answer the phone call by swiping where the green phone button usually is on my screen. Andy puts it on speakerphone for me.
"HEY! LOVE BIRDS WHERE ARE YOU?" CC shouts through the phone.
"Not there yet, so shut up," Andy warns him.
"Ouch bro. That stung. I was just calling to make sure that you all are ready to party hard tomorrow night?"
"We sure are, CC!" Andy hollers.
"Like we would miss it!" I assure him. CC wants to celebrate the restarting of the tour and have an early birthday party since he won't be here for it.
"How old are you now? Sixty seven?"
"Nice, man. Have you ever seen a sixty seven year old drink like me?" CC's laughter bursts through the phone.
Andy laughs and says, "We have to go. We are almost there."
"Oh! Oops! Sorry!"
"Nah, man. You're fine."
"Have a good time," CC says in a voice that reminds me of his winking expression. What is Andy planning on doing?
"Where are we going??" I ask as Andy and CC get off the phone.
"That's top secret information. Completely classified," he replies; I laugh.
"Come on. I'll find out eventually."
"Not until that blindfold comes off."
"You aren't going to give in are you?" I ask, a pouty look dominating my features.
"Never give in."
"Never back down." We laugh at our use of their song titles. I wait a bit before moaning, "Andyyyyyy, tell me where we're going????"
He laughs and sticks to his resolve. "No."
