After threatening the doctor he let us stay with her.
Different wires were linked to her body, her hair sprawled on the bed and her beautiful eyes were hidden underneath her lids. I sat on the chair beside her and held her hand in mine with pain shooting in my heart at her condition.
"I'm sorry for putting you in this situation gemma" I pulled her palm to my lips.
"Please wake up soon and return to me because each second without you in my arms is driving me crazy gemma" I spoke to her unconscious body.
I stayed beside her and I didn't know when I fell asleep until someone tapped me. I looked up to find her mother staring at me with a sad smile on her face. I stood up immediately giving her the space to take the chair I was previously on.
"Is anything wrong Ms Carmen?" She shook her head and the tears fell from her eyes.
"It's nothing son, I'm just happy to see the man my daughter fell in love with and I only came to check up on her" she glanced at Camila then back at me.
I held her cheek with a smile and brushed the tears off her face.
"Don't worry, she'll be fine" she nodded and I pulled her into my chest.
I left her to spend time with her daughter and went out to see Russo laying his head on the wall with a tired look and I went to sit beside him.
"You can go Russo, I'll call you when she's awake" he sat up and faced me with a ghosted smile.
"I can't Luciano. You know, Camila is one of a kind, she managed to move the heart of a beast" he gave me a smug look and I smirked.
"I should say I'm one lucky dude, what about you? I see she's grown on your skin" He sighed and looked away from me.
"Having Serena, Janelle and Ariana to protect is already too much then Camila comes along, she's a true friend Luciano, she made me see the world optimistically and not judge the future based on the past" he spoke with a smile probably remembering a moment he shared with her making me clench my jaw.
"Do you have feelings for my woman" I gritted out and he chuckled.
"Relax don, no matter how much I enjoy annoying you and pushing you to the wall, I know my limits cause I owe you, your brother and aunt dariah for all you did for my sisters and I" he looked up at me with gratitude and I nodded knowing where he was coming from.
"I don't love Camila that way" I nodded stiffly and we continued talking about other things.
"Luciano son" a familiar voice interrupted our conversation and we looked behind to see ma'am Carmen. My brows shot up in worry and i went to her immediately.
"Are you fine ma'am, did something happen to her?" She giggled and shook her head then placed her palm on my chest.
"You worry too much son. I'm fine I just came to ask if you two have eaten?" We nodded in sync and she gave us a stern look.
