Tatum walks up the steps of the porch at Elena's house, plastering a smile on her face as she walks inside. "Hey, I'm so sorry I'm late." Tatum says, walking past Elena over to Elijah and Jenna.

"It's okay. Uh, Elena, this is Tatum. She's with Elijah." Jenna says and the witch sends the girl a smile when she glances at her.

"It's nice to meet you, Elena." Tatum says.

"So, you guys are welcome to stay here and rummage through this stuff or Elena and I could help you guys load it in your car." Jenna offers. 

"Or we could get someone to pick it up tomorrow." Elijah suggests. 

"Yeah, I mean the car is kind of packed." Tatum adds.

"Also a good plan." Jenna responds.

"Thank you so much for inviting us into your home, Jenna." Elijah says before steering Tatum towards the door with Jenna as he stops to talk to Elena. "And Elena, I hope to see you again soon."

"Thanks for all the help, Jenna. We really appreciate it." Tatum says as Elijah meets them at the door. 

"Anytime." Jenna responds before they walk away and the front door closes. 

"I'll go back now, you come up when we're alone." Elijah says and the witch nods before moving slightly down the street from the house so nobody would see her.

She watches the house, her eyes glowing slightly red as she uses her magic to focus on Elijah and Elena. The second she's sure they're alone, she flicks her wrist, appearing in front of Elena as she moves towards the stairs. "Nice try." Tatum says and the girl hesitates before slowly moving to turn back to face Elijah.

"That's a wise choice." Elijah says.

"What do you want?" Elena asks.

"I think it's time you and I had a little chat." Elijah responds.

"Why is she here?" Elena asks, glancing briefly at the witch. 

"Because I've got magic and your necklace might stop him, but it won't stop me." Tatum responds.

She follows them into Elena's room, pulling the door shut behind her before hovering in front of it. "Forgive the intrusion. I mean your family no harm. And Tatum won't hurt them either." Elijah says.

"For now." The witch adds and he looks at her pointedly. "What? I make no long-term promises." Tatum says and he shakes his head slightly.

"Why did you kill those vampires when they tried to take me?" Elena asks.

"Because I didn't want you to be taken." Elijah says.

"And I was bored." Tatum says.

"Klaus is the most feared and hated of the Originals, but those that fear him are desperate for his approval. If word gets out that the doppelganger exists, there'll be a line of vampires eager to take you to him and I can't have that." Elijah explains.

"Isn't that exactly what you're trying to do?" Elena asks.

"Let's just say that my goal is not to break the curse." Elijah responds.
