*Beep*

*Beep*

*Beep*

*groan*

A man rolled over in bed slowly rising up like a zombie as the annoying sound invaded his ears.

A newspaper slowely slid off of his face as he raised a fist banging down on the alarm clock end it's reign of terror for that day.

"Fuck I keep forgetting to turn the damn thing off...."

He said as he looked at the newspaper that had fell off of his face.

Frowning he picked it up looking it over.

As he looked on mindlessly he remembered how he got fired from his job prior and scowled.

He had been working for a delivery company and one of the jobs was to deliver and move a washer and dryer to the second floor of a house he and a partner of his had delivered too.

During the moving process the straps holding the dryer him and his partner had broke and because his partner was slacking a bit on the job he wasn't paying attention to the dryer to catch it before it started falling.

The dryer tumbled down the stairs before finally hitting the bottom floor with a loud crash going into the closet at the bottom and then crashing through the wall inside of it leaving a dryer shaped hole in the foundation of the house.

Then when the boss got word of what happened from the client his partner blamed him by saying he had put the straps on incorrectly when that was not true at all. And the in the process he ended up getting yelled at for it before ultimately getting fired. He then had to pay a 500 dollar fine on top of that for destruction of property which then left a large dent in his wallet at the end of it all.

He sighed as he read the paper not finding anything of much interest.

Suddenly the phone rang startling him for a minute as he got up to take it.

"Hello? he said as he picked up the phone from next to the alarm clock as he took it with him out of the room.

"Oh.. hey mom..." he said.

"Hey hun... how are you doing."

"Uh i-im doing alright just got up actually..."

"Still having job trouble...?" She asked.

"..... sighs."

"Mono..." She said again.

"... yeah I am but don't worry I'm sure I'll find something soon." He said.

"I see... well alright then.... just don't be afraid to ask for help hun." She said.

Mono chuckled slightly at that.

"I'll be fine mom don't worry..." he said trying to reassure her.

"You sound like your father.." She responded.

Mono smiled softly as he brewed some coffee while looking over past his microwave to a small photo of him being nuggied by a man in a military uniform.

"Monos smile faded softly at the memory of his father."

"Yeah...." he said.

"Please take care of yourself hun.... " She said again.

"I will mom.."

"I love you..." She said.

"I love you too mom." Mono said back. Before the call ended.

He then went back to his room to put the phone away before going into the living room to sit on the couch still holding the newspaper.
