Kokichi had found his next victim, a local café owner. The owner was related back to the family he killed because the owner was good friends with them. The owner's last name was Akamatsu, Shuichi knew the Akamatsu family well since his best friend was their daughter, Kaede Akamatsu. Kokichi plotted to only kill the wife, and he would do so by coming at late hours just before they were about to close, then make his move. However, if anyone interfered, Kokichi wouldn't hesitate to kill them as well. The café closer at 10:00 pm and it was currently 9:00 pm, so the purple haired killer had an hour to spare. He knew that the owner's daughter was in his class and that she was good friends with the detective. He had to make sure to make it impossible to trace the murder back to him. That's why he always brought a spare change of clothes, a pair of gloves, and he never uses the same murder weapon twice in a row. Today, he planned to use a cheap knife that wasn't too sharp, this may seem stupid but he wanted the Akamatsu wife to suffer, so cheaper knife it was. Kaede loved her family, after all, they supported her during her passion for piano. She would be heart broken to see what would happen to her mother at 10:00 pm... Meanwhile, the detective had to leave the crime scene, because he was called by a friend. "My mom, she was just stabbed! I heard her scream when I was at the back of the café," you didn't need to see Kaede's face to know what it looked like, tear covered. Shuichi hurried as fast as possible to meet Kaede. "Did you see who did it?" Shuichi took out his notepad and a pen. "No, it all happened so fast!" There were quivers in Kaede's voice, the pianist has never done anything wrong, nor has her family, right? So why did her mother's life have to be taken so early? Shuichi was now determined to find the killer, after all they were hurting people he cared about! He had only assumed it was the same killer because of a certain note they managed to find written on a napkin... "Your messing with the wrong knife, detective" was what it read. The rest of the investigation crew came, and a further inspection was made. Kaede had went home to tell her father the grave news. Shuichi had the not sent to a lab, and now he needed to find out how the two murders were connected. Maybe Kaede knew, but now wasn't the time to ask. Same stab wounds, but not from glass. The wounds looked different from the ones done by sharp glass, this time, a knife was used. A cheap one, so the victim suffered incredibly. It was amazing how different the wounds actually looked considering the only different thing was the weapon choice. Shuich had a feeling the killer would change weapons as much as possible. Now, with the killer, he had gone back to his house to clean up. After all, it'd be suspicious if he showed up to school with blood on his body. He entered his house, cleaned up, and had to figure out his next victim. The family he killed a few days ago, the husband was a regular at the Akamatsu café, he had only intended to kill the husband, but some people got in the way... The detective was trying to predict where the killer would strike next, but until he talked to Kaede, he wouldn't be able to solve that. How long would this cruel game of the killer's last? Why did he even start this, he's just going after innocent people after all...
