The murder cases had oddly stopped ever since the criminal and the detective got together, but it wasn't because Kokichi was going to just change his ways. Kokichi needed to carefully plot his next victims death not only because he was dating the man who could put his ass in jail, but also because his next victim was very close with Shuichi. However, Kokichi would be lying if he said he didn't like having somewhat normal life for once. He and Shuichi would go on small dates and school kept him busy. He hadn't had a somewhat normal life since he was 10, when his siblings were alive. Most people would tell Kokichi it wasn't his fault, but those people pissed the liar off. But Kokichi's somewhat normal life had to end when he had to murder Kaito Momota, because then he would kill the assassin who took away the last family he had, DICE. He had planned to make the murder look like an accident by pushing Kaito down a steep location and hoping no one noticed it was on purpose. His plan was set into motion and he was meeting Kaito after school for a hike. "Why did you want to go on a hike again?" Kaito was suspicious because Kokichi has never asked to do anything with him before. "I wanted some exercise and your nightly training doesn't appeal to me," Kaito foolishly bought the lie and was happy to see Kokichi wanting to exercise. "Y'know Kokichi, Maki has been suspicious of you and always tells us to be careful around you. Shuichi thinks your a good person though, and that's all I need! I'm just happy Shuichi found someone who could make him feel so happy all the time!" Kokichi felt something he hadn't felt in awhile; guilt. But he couldn't turn back now, or else taking all those other lies would have been meaningless. The two boys enjoyed the scenery on the hike, nature really was beautiful. Then, they arrived at their destination where Kaito would meet death. "Woah, we're pretty high now, careful, one wrong move and you could fall off this hill and die!" But that's exactly what Kokichi wanted... "Kaito, what do you think happens after you die?" Kaito was a bit surprised by this question, but decided it probably wouldn't do any harm by answering. "Well, I think when we die, we become stars! I believe that the greater the person we were when we were alive, the brighter we shine!" "Wow, I've never thought of it like that before, I kind of assumed we'd be in an endless void of nothingness to punish us for our actions," Kokichi knew he was a bad person, but he hated hearing how horrible he was for wanting revenge. "That's a bit dark... I don't think anyone deserves that!" Kaito patted Kokichi on the back and they laughed it off. How unfortunate, Kokichi was starting to like Kaito as a friend. "Well, we should get going!" Kaito made the mistake of getting up and turning his back on Kokichi. The deed was done and Kaito laid dead at the bottom of the hill, Kokichi leaving the scene to pretend like he care and tell Shuichi. Kaito, with the last bit of life he had left in his body, had swore he would protect anyone from Kokichi's evilness in the afterlife and make sure no one would be tricked by him like himself. With that, Kaito took his last breath and became one of the brightest stars in the night sky. Kokichi had ran over to tell Shuichi about the 'accident', many tears were cried, but the liar was smiling under his mask of lies. But Kaito's promise wasn't going to be broken, and the liar never would of saw what was coming for him within that week...
