POV: Charlie

Yesterday I just spent it all working. I'm very prepared for this tournament and I'm very confident.

Today is training for the girls on the pitch so I just go and watch incase the physio needs some help.

I went down to breakfast and sat beside less and the united girls.

Less: hey char how are you
Ch: I'm good. I got loads of work done yesterday
Ella: yeah I seen you on your laptop googling like there was no tomorrow.
Less: it's like Tooney online shopping
Ella: oi leave it out

Everyone giggled

We finished up and everyone eventually headed onto the pitch.

I was stood beside the management watching. Training was going very well. Everyone was really putting a shift in.

They went into a game and it was reds vs blue. Captains were Leah and millie.

The game started and everyone made it game situation.

Leah had the ball and all of a sudden Jordan slid in with a crunching tackle.

Omg Leah. I got up and sprinted over to her with the physio.

I kneeled down and held her hand

Ch: Leah are you okay
L: my ankle

The physio was checking her ankle out and I just didn't let go of her hand.

Ch: it's okay don't worry about it
L: I'm going to miss the World Cup
Ch: you won't I promise
Physio: we need to get her inside into the doctor. I'll carry her
Ch: no you stay here I'll carry her

I picked Leah up gently and carried her inside. She had her head in my chest. I brought her into the nurse.

After awhile of assessing she put Leah in a boot.

Nurse: good news is it's not the acl bad new is that it's ligaments.
L: oh fuck I won't be able to play
Ch: you will I promise this is good
L: how is this good!
Ch: it's an okay alternative to an acl Leah so shut it
L: okay sorry

I realized we were still holding hands because she had to get dry needles. I looked back up and we were looking into eachothers eyes. Her eyes bring me so much comfort.

Ch: listen you have a media day tomorrow so at least there's no training
L: yeah

We were still looking at each other

Ch: so why did Jordan put that tackle in
L: she's mad at me
Ch: why ?
L: I'll tell you when we get up to my room
Ch: oh will we now?
L: yes come on

Leah was on crutches so she hopped all the way to her room as I followed. We both sat down on her bed.

Ch: okay so tell me
L: I told her that I've moved on from her and that I think we should just be friends now
Ch: you've moved on ? Like fully
L: she will always be my mate but I don't see her as a lover anymore. I have other priorities
Ch: go you for figuring yourself out. I guess we will be spending more time together while you recover
L: I'm not complaining
Ch: shut up

* knock* *knock*

Ch: I'll get it

It was Georgia

G: hello Charlie ya cheeky girl what are you doing in Leah's room with red cheeks
Ch: minding her
G: oh god I don't want to know
Ch: g not like that. Anyways come in

We all talked for awhile until it was getting late.

Ch: okay I think I'm going to head to bed now
L: okay goodnight char
Ch: you've got balls Williamson
L: night char

I walked to the door and looked back at her. I gave her a smile

Ch: night lee

I closed the door.

I've got butterflies in my stomach. Her stupid face is like heroine in my veins. I hate that she does this to me.

I decided to go to my room and hit the hay.

I've pretty much got a free day tomorrow. The girls have media day and I'm not a player so I don't have to do anything.

I was in bed and my phone buzzed.

L: goodnight beautiful I hope you sleep well x
Ch: goodnight lee you too x

I fell asleep with a smile on my face.

I woke up the next morning and had a shower. I got ready and did some light makeup just for fun.

I walked down to breakfast to meet everyone. As I was walking I met harry.

H: good morning Charlie how are you
Ch: I'm very good thank you harry how are you
H: I'm good. What you up to today
Ch: the girls have a media day so I'm pottering around
H: cool anyways I'll see you around
Ch: bye

I walked into the dining room and got some food. I walked over to a table with my food and was eating by myself until someone came up to me.

Leah: hey char
Ch: hey lee
L: how are you this morning
Ch: I'm good. Looking forward to relaxing today
L: me too me too. Wanna do something later
Ch: like what?
L: watch a movie or something
Ch: okay that sounds like fun
L: cool
Ch: so have you talked to Jordan ?
L: no not yet. I'm waiting for her to say sorry to me

L: I missed us talking
Ch: me too
L: I'm sorry I wasn't good for you when I had the chance
Ch: what you mean
L: I was a dick. I had two chances to be with you and I blew them because I was being immature.
Ch: Leah it's in the past now. We are here and that's all that matters.
L: I'm glad to have you back
CH: yeah I can't believe you thought I was with less (laughs)
L: looked like ye were together

G sits down

G: how are you two
L: good
Ch: good. How's everything with Ollie
G: could be better

G: ah it's okay. Couples go through things like this all the time

I spat out my water

L: I'm no Georgia what are you talking about.
G: oh I think Keira is calling me back in a minute

G leaves

Ch: she's so annoying (giggles)
L: I don't think Ollie is right for her

L: I wish I could set her up with someone else

We just had light chat for a few moments

I started lightly giggling

Ch: my sister is obsessed with Georgia

Ch: 21 about to be 22. I might get Georgia to surprise her for her bday
