Chapter thirteen

Tobio was grateful for Kuroo. He was grateful for his corny dad jokes, his lame but surprisingly smart academics in science, his protection, and so many other great things. But maybe cross out protection, because he was being too nosy for his liking. Texting Akaashi while hanging out with him was probably a bad idea.

Tobio side eyed Kuroo who had a curious look while trying to look over. "What you looking at Kuroo?"

"Who ya texting?" Kuroo asked, trying to get a view of his brother was texting, and how were they more important then their science experiment?

Tobio was currently smiling like a dork at the picture Akaashi sent of him and his members having to hand pick glitter off their couch, throwing a glitter bomb at Komori which ended up him dodging it and hitting the unfortunate couch.

"Hmmm oh nothing." Tobio quickly said dismissively, shoving his phone back in his pocket. Big mistake.

If there was one con of having Kuroo as your brother, he would bother the daylights out of you just to answer his question. Kuroo didn't look convinced by Tobio's answer. Tobio noticed and stared back at him with a scowl.

"It's...nothing really..." He said awkwardly. Kuroo narrowed his eyes to a more of a squint, trying to read through him.

"Really? I've never seen you smile like that to your phone.." The other rolled his eyes. "Ya lying to me?"

"No..." The two had staring contest, the other trying to stand firm. Kuroo would use 'the older one' card to see who Tobio is texting.

While on the other hand, Bokuto, Lev, and Kenma stood in front of them, their goggles hanging down their necks while they watched in amusement as the two brothers grew tension with each other. Kenma and Bokuto were used to the two being stubborn towards each other, Lev still adjusting to the two's relationship.

"Brat." "Bed hair."

"Alright alright, before we start insulting each other, let's finish Kuroo's stupid experiment." Kenma interrupted, glaring at the two, mostly Kuroo. "Grow up."

Kuroo turned his glare back to Kenma. "First of all, you don't have siblings so you don't get any say, second of all, my scientific research experiment is not stupid. Third of all-"

"Annnnddd let's get to the volcano! Put your goggles on!" Bokuto cheered, pouring the liter of mixed baking soda and vinegar. The brother's eyes snapped open, not having their goggles.

"WAIT BOKUTO DID YOU POUR THE WHOLE THING IN?!" Kuroo immediately screamed, eyes were on the volcano now which was about to erupt, probably about to extinct them.

Lev and Kenma, who had theirs on looked at the two who didn't, mouth gaped open. Bokuto made a rookie mistake. He poured more then they had to. They didn't have time for when they heard bubbling, everything went by so quickly.

"Wha-" Tobio's eyes were then covered by immediate blackness, which caught him off guard.

He heard the huge sound of a bomb as he felt foam getting on his shirt and pants. He also heard Lev's dolphin scream, hearing someone jump on Kenma by the irritated yell coming from him, Bokuto screaming in such excitement while Kuroo yelped.

When no one felt the gust of chemicals blast through them, they all opened their eyes, holding their goggles close to their eyes. Kuroo then took his hand off of Tobio's eyes.

Kuroo looked at Tobio with worry. "You ok Tobio?"

Tobio, who was not able to see the whole reaction, groaned. "We did all them measuring and all your strict directions just for me not to see it?!"
