Kuroo walked into the hospital. Daichi was waiting for him outside, leaning on the wall.
"Oh hey Tets." Daichi said as he walked forward to Kuroo.
"Hey.." Kuroo greeted, meeting eyes with the person he met so many years ago.
"You...grew up...I guess." Daichi said awkwardly.
"Yeah. Let's just get this done and over with." Kuroo said, stuffing his hands in his pockets.
Daichi nodded and opened the door, both walking to the receptionist."Hello sir." The lady said as she looks up to face the two guys.
"Yeah we're here to see patient 63. And is the room 279?" Daichi asked.
The receptionist took the lollipop out of her mouth and nodded, before going back at what she was doing. Daichi mumbled a thank you and walked to the elevator. As they walk in, there was a women and a child next to them. Kuroo and the child made eye contact.
'Tobio.' Kuroo said as he was about to walk to the child until, "Uh Kuroo we're here." Daichi says, snapping his fingers infront of Kuroo's face.
"Oh yeah.."
"Is there something wrong?" Daichi asked, concern on his face.
Kuroo looked at Daichi for a bit before leaving.
Daichi gave a puzzled look on his face before also exiting the elevator. As they started walking, each step towards the room felt so overwhelming for Kuroo. He haven't seen or heard from his mom since he was 16. As they made it to the room, Daichi moved to the side."Aren't you're gonna go in?" Daichi asked.
"What about you?"
"I'm staying outside here."
Rolling his eyes, Kuroo hesitantly knocked on the door. There was a faint 'come in'
Kuroo opened the door and saw a women, in her late 40s with wavy black hair, with a few strands of white hairs.
"T-Tetsurou.." She said as she covered her mouth.
Kuroo frowned before walking in the room. She looked just her when she was back home.
"Seen you haven't aged." Kuroo said as he sat down on a nearby couch.
"S-son why have you come to visit me?" She asked, happy.
Kuroo saw how excited she was to see him. It hurted him even more to what he was gonna say.
"I'm not here to chit chat or have fun." He said seriously. He looked down and sighed deeply.
"Then what's this about?" She asked, worried.
He looked at up his mom. He held her hands and hugged her.
"I'm sorry but...I don't want you to be my mom anymore." Kuroo said, hugging her tightly. "I don't want anything to do with you." He said sniffing.
"I don't get it..why do you hate me?" She asked.
"Mom. I don't hate you. I just don't want you in my life anymore." He said, he couldn't even look her in the eyes. "You've done damage to me and Tobio."She started to wipe her eyes and fall down to her knees.
"I don't want Tobio worrying about you anymore when you were the one who destroyed him emotionally."
He was about to touch her but she shook her head, before looking up at her son and smiling.
"I understand Tetsurou. I understand. All my life, I've done nothing but abandoned you two to your father."
