Chapter twenty one

Tobio and Akaashi learn something about each other while Daishou meets an old flame

Their final night together until each other had to be go back to their busy lives. Akaashi had to go to meetings with his band mates, while Tobio had to catch up on gossiping about his trip to Suna and get back to work. Tobio had feared that Akaashi would get on one knee and drop the big question but he was thankful he didn't. So far, they had already packed all their stuff and now they were just eating across from each other. A comfortable, tolerant silence. Previously, they were discussing the topic of weather Tobio would rather have 5 Akaashi's or 5 Akaashi's that were the age of 5

"I've really enjoyed this trip with you. I couldn't find a better person to spend it with." Tobio admitted, breaking the silence and shooting Akaashi a genuine smile of gratitude.

"And I had the most fun I've had with you. Especially you Angel." Akaashi shot back, catching a small flush from him.

The ten days of Osaka have been nothing but fun all round. Going to all the delicious restaurants, especially seeing Akaashi almost order the entire menu to the point where they had so many left overs. Going on road trips with Kuroo, Bokuto, and the others were fun enough but being with him made it so much more uplifting. Probably because of how much they were to learn about each other. Or the fact it was pure love they both felt.

While on the other hand, Akaashi felt completed with him. This is what he wanted to do forever and never stop. Being with Tobio and travel to all the beauties of the world. He didn't care that they were spending their last night in this small hotel while eating Chinese takeout, it was so peaceful.

"Im really glad you enjoyed everything. I planned this whole trip by myself. I just....I just.." Akaashi found himself pausing, as he looked at his bowl. He then found himself slowly looking up and meeting eyes with the other.

"I just love you. I hope you know that."

A now more happy smile flashed on the others face, much more of happiness rather than embarrassment. And that was just enough for Akaashi to have one more reason to fall in love again.

"Akaashi." Tobio began. "Are we really a couple? Like...no more pretending?"

Akaashi blinked a few times. Confused. He thought Tobio was joking at first but then seeing how serious he was, he choked back a laugh.

"T-Tobio. I- of course we are! We are a real thing. You think I brought you only to Osaka for 10 days as friends. Or as a pretend relationship? You're nuts!"

Tobio was shocked for a moment, almost blushing even, but snickered, going back at picking his food. Now, there was silence. Akaashi usually wouldn't mind it at all but since this was their last night, he wanted to know more about the other.

"I don't want to seem pushy about what I'm going to ask you but..when is your heat coming up? I've known you for so long but I haven't met any omega that hasn't been in their heat for at least a month..." Akaashi nervously waited for Tobio to respond, sensing that he wasn't eating anymore.

Tobio smiled softly and patted Akaashi's back. "It's not pushy at all. I get asked that a lot by my brother. But I've been taking heat surrpressants for awhile now."

A small "oh" came from Akaashi.

Tobio noticed the discomfort from Akaashi and immediately felt bad. "I hope it's not...something bad to you...that I.."

There was an uncomfortable silence between them. Then suddenly, tears had started to sting Tobio's eyes as he tried to figure out what Akaashi was going to say, scared of what would he do...his stomach was full of butterflies, hoping he would talk.
