"Y/N! Y/n you're here!", squealed Steve.

"Wow Steve! Someone's happy to see me!", I said as I dropped my bags and ran to hug Steve, whom was welcoming me with open arms and a warm smile. He grabbed a few of my bags and loaded them into the house. I walked inside and ran upstairs to my room. Just how I had left it. Movie posters on my walls, surreal feeling looking into my dusty vanity, my bed nice and soft with silk pillows, perfect. I missed my room. I had been gone for a year or two, off to help family with business, but this was home to me. I read the clock on the wall that still surprisingly worked. I got off my flight pretty early, and slept the entire way, so I figured why not surprise everyone at school? It was only 7:35!

"Steve, can you take me to school?", I asked eagerly.
"School? You just got back? Don't you wanna rest?"
"Nah, I'd rather surprise everyone!"
"Alright. Oh by the way, Dustin, Mike, and Lucas are all with this guy named Eddie Munson and Max is basically alone, Nancy's with her little newspaper crew, and I'm with good 'ol Robin."
I flustered at the thought of Robin. She was a complete goddess to me, chiseled perfectly to the core. We had shared a kiss last year before I left at a sleepover. Things got pretty heated, but then I had to leave. Plus I wasn't into girls like i thought I was.
"Hey, y/n what's wrong with your face.."
"What? Oh- What's wrong with YOURS?!" I snapped back, defensively. Steve giggled.
"Woah okay there, tomato face." He said.
"What did you just call me- whatever just drive me to school idiot."
"Whatever" Steve laughed. He started the car and drove off.

TIME SKIP TO SCHOOL

Steve opened the door and motioned me out.
"Here we go, mi'lady."
"Thanks, Steve."
He shrugged and walked into the school. The school looked the same. I walked inside, dodging loads of people to find my first class.

"Woah, Steve, can you take me to class? I'm not sure where I should go.." I said grabbing Steve's arm. He nodded and grabbed my hand, leading me to Mrs. O'Donnell's class. When we walked in, I felt all eyes on me.
"Y/N?!? Y/LN?!? YOU'RE BACK!", squealed Robin. She ran up to me giggling. She gave me a BIG hug and patted my back lightly. I stood there, smiling and hugging her back. Her warmth brought a fuzzy to my body. She smelled like vanilla and cheap perfume.

"Hey Robin!! I'll sit next to you." I said as Steve left the classroom waving. I waved back and sat next to Robin as Mrs. O'Donnell continued her lesson.

"So.. how have you been, Robin?" I asked, joyfully.
"Actually pretty good! Not as good because well you weren't here but it's alright. Steve's been a pain the ass, the gang has just been apart lately. You're like our glue I guess."

"Well I'm glad I'm back then!" I said. For the rest of class we talked about what we missed out on while I was gone. I felt connected to her. I really wanted to kiss her, now was not the time at all.
