Pete was at the ball room of his hotel, he was over looking the organisation work of the event tonight. His father still hasn't arrived yet cause he still has meetings to attend to and will be a bit late so to welcome and greet guest was also his(Pete) job.
The event will start in an hour, Pete was still doing some final checks and after that he will go to his room in the hotel to change. Pete was still talking to some staff over the arrangement of the flowers when the manager of the hotel came and said
"Khun Pete, the event will start in less than an hour you should go and change now I will take care of the rest."
"But phi just a bit is left let me finish it and I will go na"
"No no khun Pete if you don't go now you will be late, you have to go right now or do you want me to call your father to tell him that you are not listening to me" the manager asked
"Okay I'll go" Pete said with a pout, the manager smiled at him fondly as he saw him walk away. He has seen Pete grow up from a little naughty kid to a mature adult. He has seen every phase of his life, sometimes he still misses the days when Pete used to be a kid running around the corridor of this very hotel with his mother behind him.
But those days are now gone forever, after Pete's mother's death he hasn't seen him smile as beautifully as he used to. He still smile but in his smile there is a hint of sadness and loneliness. He can see it, all the staff around here can see it, but the one who should see it can't seem to notice it. After his mother's death, his father has buried himself in work to cure his broken heart but he failed to see the sadness and loneliness in his son's eyes. He still loves him very much but spends very little time with him. He just hopes that his khun Pete will find someone who will cure his loneliness.
At the hotel room
Pete looked at himself in the full length mirror. He was looking dashing in a dark blue suit. He looked at his watch which shows that there is only 10 minutes left for the event to start so he took a last glance at himself and left his room.
As he was leaving the room his phone buzzed he took out his phone from his pocket and looked at the message, it was from Saint
Saint: Pete I have to talk to you asap.
So Pete replied him
Pete: okay when you come to the event tonight we will talk.
And then he put his mobile in his coat pocket and left the room. He went downstairs to welcome the guests who were starting to come in. Pete knew most of them so it was easy for him to interact with them. Pete greeted each of them, after sometimes he saw Saint coming in with Perth, the couple was looking handsome. Saint as always was looking charming and Perth besides him was looking handsome but also fierce.
Pete knew that Perth was being jealous, he could see fumes coming out of his ears, he know that if anybody tried to flirt with Saint, Perth would kill him. It looks like Saint will have to keep an eye on Perth the whole night, Pete smiled to himself and was ready to go inside the hall and ready to talk to Saint when he saw the person he has been avoiding lately.
But he was not alone, besides him was the person Pete has missed so much and longed to see for a long time.
It was Macau.
Pete watched as Vegas and Macau walked towards him, with a bouquet in Macau's hand. When they were near him, he went up to them and hugged Macau. It has been so long since he last saw him, he was just a little kid when he left for States. But now he has grown up. He was almost an adult now and Pete felt so happy to see him.
"Macau, long time no see. How are you? When did you come back? I missed you so much"
Pete said while still smiling at Macau and not giving a bit of attention to Vegas.
"I'm fine phi. I came back a few weeks ago and I really missed you too"
Macau said with a smile. He really missed his Phi Pete, he still remember when he was a kid he was so attached to Pete more than his own brother. He always wanted to be around him and when he wasn't near him he always used to throw a tantrum and when they moved to the States, it was hard for him to adapt there without him.
"So are you gonna stay here for a long time" Pete said
"No phi, I'm here just for my vacation after that I will go back to the States." Macau said
"Ohhh" Pete said with a sad face
"But I will move back once I start college" Macau said with a smile "but phi why are you only talking to me but not my brother here" Macau said and looked at Vegas with a teasing smile
"Well we are in a little bit of a disagreement right now." Pete said to Macau
"Oiii phi I know that you are mad at him and I understand you, I'm also always mad at him but give him a chance just this once for me na" Macau said with pleading eyes. Pete looked at Macau and then at Vegas and again at Macau and said
"Okay okay I will talk to him," Pete said and Macau hugged him excitedly "but just for you okay" Pete said "now let's go inside" Pete said and was ready to drag Macau inside but Macau stopped him
"Phi wait, won't you take this bouquet first that I bought for you" Macau said and pointed at the bouquet at Vegas's hand. Vegas looked down at the bouquet in his hand and extended his hands to hand the flowers to Pete. Pete looked at the bouquet in his hand and looked at his face and then at Macau's face and finally accepted the bouquet.
"Now let's go" Pete said and dragged Macau inside with him, Macau looked back at his brother while still being dragged and made a cunning face
"Thank you" Vegas mouthed at his little brother. He knows that he got this chance because of his brother, but he won't let this chance to go to waste.
