Vegas and Pete were on their way to meet Pete's mom. Vegas was more nervous to meet Pete's mom than Pete. When they reached there he stopped for a bit before stepping out of his seat. After he gathered his thoughts he picked up the flowers he bought for her and followed Pete's lead.
When they reached her grave Pete stopped and lay down the flowers he bought her and Vegas followed suit. Pete looked at the picture of his mom on the grave and said
"Hi mom it's been a long time since I last visited, you are not angry with me right?"
"Please don't be angry with Pete na, I'm sorry I didn't visit often I was busy with many things. See I bought you Daisy your favourite flowers to pacify your anger."
"But mom as you can see I'm not alone today, look here do you remember him. He is Vegas. He came back a few months ago and he wanted to visit you so I brought him here with me" Pete said Vegas tugged at his shirt and signalled him to say something, Pete looked at him and then looked at his mom's grave again and said
"Okay okay, mom he is my boyfriend. He wanted to ask for your permission to date me so I bought him along with me today" Pete said
"Hello aunty Som, I'm Vegas do you remember me." Vegas said
"As Pete told you I wanted to ask for your permission to date your lovely son. I promise you aunty Som that I'll love your son as much as I can, I'll take care of him. I'll make his every wish come true. And I'll never let him get hurt, I'll always be there to protect him and be there for him when he needs me. So please aunty Som give me your permission" Vegas said
And as if she heard them, a soothing wind passed through them. Pete looked at his mom's photo and looked at Vegas and said
"Vegas it seems like she gave us her permission" Pete smiled
"Yes it seems so" Vegas said and looked at the photo and said
"Thank you aunty Som, I promise you I'll not disappoint you" Vegas said and take Pete's hand in his hands and said
"I'll never let go of this hand I promise"
Pete smiled at his mom's photo and said
"Thank you mom" then he hold Vegas's hands tighter and said
"And I promise that I'll also never let go off this hand no matter what I'll always be there for you, I'll face all the problems with you head on and never doubt you and to never stop loving you" Pete smiled and said
"Then we will leave now mom, and I promise I'll visit you often" Pete said and left with Vegas hand in hand. Vegas looked at Pete's beautiful smile and promised to himself that he will never let anyone destroy Pete's smile ever, not even himself.
When they reached their car, Vegas took out a bouquet of sunflowers from the back seat and gave it to Pete. He looked at Pete's shocked face and said
"I promise many things to your mom and dad and I promise you that I'll keep all my promises. I gave you these flowers to show my sincerest feelings towards you Pete, sunflowers symbolises loyalty and I promise I'll be loyal to you my whole life. You are my only sun, Pete" Vegas said
Pete smiled with tear filled eyes and said
"You don't have to promise anything Vegas, but if you want to then promise me that in the future if your feelings towards me change and if you by chance stop loving me then, you will tell me honestly. You will not stay silent because of the promises you made" Pete said
Vegas hugged Pete tightly and said
"My feelings will never change Pete, but they do I promise to not hide it from you and tell you honestly"
"That's all I wanted to hear Vegas," Pete said
"I love you Pete" Vegas said
"I love you too Vegas" Pete said

Finally, their story has come to an end. It was a very good journey for me and it's all thanks to everyone who showed their support, it may not have been the best VP fanfic out there but I tried my best to write this story and to show how much I love them. And want them to have their own happy ending. I hope if BOC gives us a season 2 they will give this couple their deserved happy ending and I will meet you again soo with a new story till then good bye 🤗
