"Are you serious!" Mary exclaimed, finally speaking aloud, "Travis? Really?" She couldn't believe it.

After storming out of the apartment, Mary stood in the hallway that was home to about 10 others.

She began pacing around with her hand on her forehead. She felt sick, like she could vomit. Her stomach was twisted in a knot and felt as if it may explode. Her face grew hot and red and her eyes were pooling.

Mary was never good at hiding how she felt, it always found a way to creep out. No matter how much she tried, she couldn't refrain.

She let out a huge sob. It echoed throughout the empty hallway. Almost immediately, Mary went silent and covered her mouth with her hand.

"Mary, please, I'm sorry." Travis intervened. "Please? Mary? Are you listening? I'm sorry okay. I just- I don't know- I don't know what to say." She didn't answer.
