Boo!

We ate all of the perishable foods in the first few days of course, leaving sealed bags and cans... Soon we were living off a packet of marshmallows. They're all well and good, but they don't half get boring after a while.

Carlie hadn't spoken to either me or Dan since I'd thrown cheese at her, and she'd called me a female dog... To be honest I was pretty glad. If she had, I may have just thrown her out of the room so the psycho brothers could eat her... Okay, maybe I wasn't that mean, but you get the idea.

"What are you doing?" I questioned Dan.

He was crouched behind an old VCR TV that was in the corner of the room, and I was so confused!

"Trying... To get... This to work!" he replied, holding up an ariel, "Hold this as high as you can."

I took it from him and climbed up onto a table, "This high enough?" I asked.

He looked up, "It'll have to be..." he muttered, going back to the TV.

"What's the point?!" Carlie snapped.

We both ignored her, me grinding my teeth together with the effort.

"Got it!" Dan exclaimed just as the TV static transformed to an actual channel.

I grinned at him, "You are a genius!"

Carlie scoffed at this, and turned her attention back to her mobile phone. Just then Dan managed to flick on the news...

'The snow is expected to continue for the next forty eight hours. Students at Frayton high school in the county of Cheshire is still buried in snow... We now go to just outside the school where the worried parents are attempting to dig their children out...' the news reader said.

My eyes widened. Our parents were trying to dig us out!

'Im here with the parents of Carlie Sayer, Daniel Warren and Skye Taylor, as well as the girlfriend of the only teacher who was left in the building...'

Dan sat down beside me, staring blankly at the TV as all of the people on the outside came onto the screen.

'Do you have anything you'd like to say to your loved ones inside if they're watching?' the news reporter asked them.

A young woman took the microphone. She was very pretty, with straight blonde hair and blue eyes... But those blue eyes were red and puffy with crying so much, "Robert... If your watching, I'd just like you to know that I love you so much, and that I will never stop trying..." she began sobbing hysterically and handed the microphone back to the news reporter.

That must have been Mr Shaw's girlfriend... She had no idea of the terrible fate her beloved Robert had succumbed to a few days ago. I really hoped I wouldn't have to watch her watch Mr Shaw be hauled out of here in a body bag...

The microphone was then very roughly grabbed by a man with thinning, grey hair who wore an expensive suit and Carlie appeared behind us, "That's my dad..." she whispered.

I looked up at Carlie, and for the first time in my life, saw the real girl behind all of that makeup and sneering... She looked sad, and terrified.

I turned my attention back to the TV, just in time to hear Carlie's dad start speaking, "Carlie? I hope your okay sweetie... Don't you worry about a thing, I will be suing this school. I love you darling and I hope to see you soon." he said, blowing kisses dramatically.

Carlie sighed then went back to the other side of the room... Just then Dan's mum and dad managed to steal away the microphone, "Be safe son." his dad told him, looking slightly red from digging. "We love you so much Daniel!" his mother cried before burying her head in her husbands chest.

I looked over at my best friend who was just sitting staring blankly at the television, until his parents vanished from the screen. Then Dan just pulled his knees up to his chest and hid his head... His whole body shook with silent sobs.

"Dan, we will get out of here." I vowed, placing an hand on his back.

When I received no answer, I turned my attention back to watch as my mum and stepdad appeared on the television... When suddenly the screen turned to static.

"No!" I yelled, getting to my knees, "NO!"

Carlie was now staring at me wide eyed, and I just frantically did everything I could to get the TV to work again... But nothing would help.

Suddenly the screen went completely black, along with the whole room... Plunging us into complete darkness due to the windows being smothered with snow.

"Dan? Where are you?!" I squeaked as I scrambled around where I thought he was.

A hand landed on my arm and I screamed in fright, "It's okay, it's only me!" Dan assured me, his voice hoarse from crying.

I held onto my best friend for dear life, worried he might disappear into the pitch black room, "W-what happened?" I asked him, terrified.

"I think it was just a power line going down... Which means no electricity." Dan told me.

My eyes widened, not that it helped me see any... And suddenly a piercing scream ripped through the darkness. Carlie.

Taking action before I could move, Dan pushed me towards the door of the classroom.

"Carlie?" he whispered into the room, sounding as terrified as me.

There was no sound for a moment when a long beam of light hit my face... I squinted my eyes, and the light was lowered.

I wish it hadn't have been... A familiar angular face, with dark hair and dark eyes stared back at me, with a menacing grin on his blood covered lips...

"Boo!" he said, taunting us.

We both stayed frozen for a split second, and the beam of light fell onto the floor, where I saw Carlie's bloody, lifeless body...

A scream ripped from my throat and as if being snapped out of a trance, Dan quickly unlocked the door and pulled me out of it. Away from Sean.

"RUN!" Dan shouted, making my legs start working.

And that's what we did. We ran, and ran, and ran...
