"We can't leave till she wakes up. Don't you think they'll be suspicious if we are carrying an unconscious girl with us?!" Michael's deep voice reasoned from somewhere next to me.
Instead of opening my eyes, I decided to listen and feign unconsciousness...
"You better share your little meal." Sean muttered, sounding fed up.
Michael shifted slightly, "I had something else in mind actually..." he replied.
I heard Sean chuckle darkly, "Ahhh, I understand." was his reply.
"No. You don't."
I couldn't take it anymore and decided to let my eyes blink open... We were in a dimly lit room with a sloping roof, and had a horrible musty smell.
"We'll leave-- Oh, good morning sweet cheeks." Sean said.
"Where are we?" I muttered.
Michael shifted and I realised he had been sat behind me, "In the school attic." he replied.
Sean grinned menacingly and I eyed the only exit, "Don't do anything stupid." Michael ordered.
I remained silent but stayed where I was, fearing that if I tried to escape they'd kill me for sure... Then I remembered how Sean had been chasing Dan down the corridor.
"Did you kill Dan?" I asked him quietly.
"Of course." Sean chuckled darkly.
Michael threw him a look and proceeded to get up, then peered out of the exit.
He let out a sigh and sat back down, "They're still looking..."
Sean leant back on the wall behind him and began humming, "Why won't you let me go?" I sniffed.
"You've seen too much Skye. I'm sorry.." Michael apologised sadly.
"More like he wants a pet..." Sean muttered with a menacing grin.
I swallowed nervously and pulled my knees up to my chest. Everything was silent for a long while, and no body moved a muscle...
"Do you hear that?" Sean whispered.
His brother tilted his head slightly, "Silence..." he said with a small smile.
Both of the brothers stood up, having to crouch down due to the sloping roof, "Are you going to cooperate and walk outta here?" Sean questioned me.
"Won't they still be outside?"
Michael shook his head slightly, "It's dark out now, but you do have a point... We can't just walk out of the front door, just incase." he decided.
Suddenly there was a loud bang and I looked over to where Sean was stood... Right above him was a large, gaping hold in the roof...
"Idiot." Michael muttered darkly.
"Well at least we have a way out now..." Sean huffed, rolling his dark eyes.
Michael held out one of his pale hands to help me up, but when I didn't take it he just let out a deep sigh and swung me onto his back, where I held on for dear life...
"W-what are you d-doing?" I stammered as he stood, looking up at the hole in the roof.
"Getting out of here..." was his reply.
Michael crouched down slightly, shifted me on his back and suddenly jumped upwards... I squeezed my eyes shut, but was surprised to feel wind on my face.
"You are extremely funny y'know." Sean teased as I opened my eyes.
We were so high up on the roof that I couldn't help but gasp slightly, Michael began walking forwards with me still on his back and I watched as Sean jumped nimbly down to the part of the school grounds which backed onto a thick forest...
"You can't be serious!" I hissed at my captor.
"Deadly serious." was the bored-sounding reply I received.
I stared wide eyed as Michael approached the edge of the roof, and in the next second we were falling towards the ground... But instead of hitting it painfully, Michael landed even more nimbly that his brother and I was left with my heart hammering in my chest...
"Mmm she sounds as delicious as she smells..." Sean muttered darkly.
Michael growled lightly at his brother, "Could you try and control your heartbeat?" he questioned sounding strained.
"I'm... Sorry?"
No body said anything more as Michael placed me on my feet... I brushed my jacket off and followed them slowly through the forest until around five minutes later when Sean sighed frustratedly...
"Can we just go at our speed? I'm fed up of going this slow!" he complained loudly.
Michael muttered something under his breath then looked to Sean, "We are meant to be keeping our secret Sean..." he warned.
"Don't you think she's already guessed?! We've been draining her friends for the past few days, and we just jumped off a freaking roof Michael!" Sean exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air.
We slowly came to a complete stop, "Well, have you guessed?" Michael pressed as he stated at me intently.
"Guessed what?"
Michael turned slowly to glare at his brother, "See?" he said through gritted teeth.
"Well, we may as well tell her anyway... She's gonna find out soon enough." Sean shot back.
"Tell me what?!"
Both of the brothers looked at me, Sean with a menacing grin on his flawless face, and Michael with a sad look in his dark blue eyes...
"We're vampires." Sean smirked.
My heart felt like someone had their fist around it. Vampires aren't real...
And then my world went black.
