They needed to talk.
They had to talk.
Their relationship has faded, as though it was a sad, sloppy piece of mud. But so afraid of the word 'alone', they let their relationship faded. They didn't even hold hands, in all their 4 years of dating, they never kissed!
It was all a set up. A stupid dare even. Len thought he found feelings, but it was a just friendship that he ruined trying to force it into love.
His friendship...
With Miku.
Everyday, the thoughts of their old friendship repeated in Miku's mind, only causing tears and whispers of the question 'why'. The two couldn't sit in silence, always turning on a TV, playing music, watching podcasts.
He needed to stop. He was just hurting Miku more, the only time he saw her smile was in her sleep. He only wondered what she was dreaming of.
Pulling Miku into the living room, hiding the remote, hiding the speakers, hiding the phones, he sat her down, taking her hands into his.
"We need to stop."
Miku's eyes widened, "Wha-"
"All we're doing is hurting ourselves and our friendship. We don't like each other, we like the idea not being alone, the ability to say 'i have a girlfriend' or boyfriend.
" So, this is me officially breaking up our non-loving relationship. "
Miku stared for a bit before swiftly pulling Len into a hug. They squeezed each other in a way they would as friends. No awkwardness, not forced, friendship. A friendship that led them to cry together, all of happiness.
It's finally ended.
