Fell for the new girl- Vance hopper

AN: A vance one shot was suggested <3

October 12th, 1978

"y/n come on! We have to start driving to the new house now!" my mother yells from downstairs to me. I quickly get up and move my small bags to the car filled with little things. I then placed my boxes into the moving truck before getting into the car.

1 hour later.....
"we are here" my mom says with exitment in her voice. "wooo" i say sarcastically while rolling my eyes. I never wanted to move. I left behind all my old friends and what if i dont make any friends i thought to myself.

"hey mom im gonna walk around the area and go grab some snacks from somwhere" I say before walking out. While walking i see a store thats only 2 blocks down. Once i make if down there i enter it. 'grab n go.. Cool' i thought to myself.

As soon as i enter the store i see a pinball machine. Im really good at pinball since i always played back in my hometown. I start playing on the machine and after i finished i saw that i beat someones high score.

I turn around to see a tall guy with long blonde hair behind me. He looked a bit angry. So i asked him if he was okay. "hey goldilocks are you okay" I asked while antagonizing him a bit.

"No. You beat my high score you b-" I cut him off. "Oh well maybe you're just bad at the game" I say with a slight smirk. "Anyway I'm y/n. And you are?" I say my name and ask for his.

"Vance" he says while pushing me out the way to get to the pinball machine.

Vance's pov:

'Who is this girl? And how did she beat my high score? She's kinda hot' I thought to myself.

"Um rude" she says

"What?" I ask while still focused on my game.

"You pushed me out the way" she says

"Oh" I say to get on her nerves

"Aren't you gonna apologize?" She asks me

"How about a date instead? Meet here at 7" I say straight up while still focusing on the game.

Y/n's pov:

I paused for a moment. I mean I just met him. I barely know anything about him exept for his name and that he's kinda a douchebag. But he's really cute.

"Sure but I don't really know anything about you at all" I say while looking down and my shoes

"Well if we go on a date I can tell you about myself but only if you do the same thing" Vance says looking over at me. "Alright deal" I say slightly blushing a bit.

5 months later...

Vance hopper and I are dating. He's not such a douchbag when you really get to know him. We became very close over the past five years. I also made some friends.

Gwen , finney , Bruce , Donna , Robin , billy and griffin. I also have an amazing boyfriend Vance hopper. I love them all. I love it here. I'm kinda happy I moved...
