It had been a normal day for Catra. Well, as normal as her life could get, that is. She'd wake up in the morning- which was odd given that she used to sleep during this time. She got ready, studied, and made her way to hang out with her new friends; Scorpia, and Entrapta.

After a few hours, she'd visit Kyle, Lonnie, and Rogelio at the corner store- which, for some reason, was called the carousel. She kept them company, and helped them restock when she felt like it. It was nice to be out and about instead of stuck inside her room all day. A sort of mansion that wasn't empty, but never seemed full and lively.

She would always spend the rest of her day hanging out with her best friend. She and Adora could just sit and talk for hours, or even just sit and keep each other company, and they'd be fine.

Normally her social battery would run out after hanging out with more than two people for more than three hours at a time, but with Adora, it was different. She could just listen to the blonde talk for hours and hours. Stare into those baby blue eyes, and focus her vision just enough to capture every single detail of her irises.

Adora was busy getting ready for the day while Catra laid upside down on her bed. She threw on a beige flannel and white tank top and fixed her hair into her usual high ponytail.

Catra just watched. Adora never minded though, after all, she'd do the same.

"So, are you finally gonna try my nana's famous pies today?" Adora asked, hopefully. Her nana Razz had been bugging her to get her best friend to taste them, but she always refused.

Catra shook her head and seemed to have a look that Adora couldn't decode, "Not today. I-" Adora interrupted her.

"You don't like sweets, I know. If it weren't for the fact that you seem healthy I'd question if you ever eat at all." Adora joked with a smile as she adjusted her ponytail.

Catra seemed to change the topic, "I've got family coming over later, so I can't stay the night." Catra sat up and played with a loose thread on Adora's floral blanket.

Adora turned to her now, "Okay. You can't run away from me that easily though. We still have to finish our AP Spanish project." Adora was now grinning at Catra's unimpressed look.

"I'm fluent, Adora. We can finish that the day of presentations if we wanted." Catra groaned.

Adora sat down next to her and leaned against her shoulder, breathing in her familiar scent of roses and a hint of something Adora still couldn't figure out, "But I want to be prepared. If one of us gets sick or has an emergency then we won't have to worry about it."

Catra nuzzled Adora's shoulder with hers, "You worry too much. What is it called, a worry wart?" Catra said softly.

"Whatever, just- let's just get it done quickly, please?" Catra nodded in agreement.

After about half an hour, they were nearly finished, "I think I'm gonna wake up speaking Spanish if I do another slide." Adora groaned as she rubbed her eyes.

Catra chuckled, "¿Rendirse tan pronto, princesa?" (Giving up so soon, princess?)

"No no. I'm good. I just need to rest my eyes." Adora was clearly falling asleep by her slowed breathing and slight snoring.

Catra chuckled, "Bye princess." She purred.

Catra stood up and gathered the few things she brought since she came over nearly everyday, she just kept some things here. She always made sure to snatch up a hoodie from Adora's closet since she got chilly.
