From Ash To Fire

A Simple Request

Red glanced over at Mk, who was trying to comfort Mei about the situation. So many thoughts ran through Red in those few seconds, so much so that he got pretty lost in thought.
"hey, red"
Red snaped out of thought by the sudden voice.
"uh what,"
" you alrigth you kinda spaced out there"?
"uh, what-no its nothing, just-i just hope I can get my stuff back is all, he stole something veary important"
"oh,did he steal a pricless artifact or something"?
mk asked.
" not exactlly "
"what is it then"?
"well its an iteam used in a ritual, where you ask someone to...."
"tooo, what"?
"uh its not important-say is that Meis place"!?
"oh hey it is"
Mk dashed off ahead of the two to open the door and look for the goods.Red and Mei walked behind him catching up slowly. Mei looked over at Red with a suspicios glare, Red noticed this of course.
"uhh, can I help you"?
"what kind of ritual is this relic used for again"?
Red thought about giveing her a fake name, but yet again how would she know what he was talking about.
" its a soulbound ritual"
after a few seconds of silence from Mei, Red looked over at her. Mei looked like she was about to explode with excitment.
"YOUR GONNA ASK MK TO BE BOYFREIND"!!!????

"ssssshshshsshhhh, keep it down, also how do you know what that what I meant"
"I read a post online about demon dating once, it was actually veary intresting"
Mei giggled.
" so I assume the very important thing in the bag are the braclets"?

"....... yeah"

Mei giggled like a mad mad man, it was clear she was super excited about it.
"when you gonna ask him"?
"I'm not to sure yet"
"well if you need any help you know who to go to"
Mei said puting an arm around Red.
"Now lets hurry inside, I have a bunch of crap to throw out"
and with that the two hurred after Mk.

when they got in the house they could already see Mk looking around for the bag. Mei went and did exactly as she said she would do and started tearing down all the stuff she put up for Mac. Red decided to start searching around aswell, he rather he found the bag before Mk did. he went down a hallway and opened a random door, which ended up being a closet. it mostly had towels and boardgames but no bag full of stolen good was in there. He then went to an already open door and took a look inside, it apeared to be Mei's room. He walked and took a look around, her room was pretty much as Red figured it'd be, she had atleast twelve diffrent consoles and an apundence of games.
'I knew she liked games but this is just impressive'
Red also noticed a closet, he went over and opened it to find a big sachel. Red yanked it out and opened it, and of course he found all his stolen goods. He dug around to see what exaclty Macaque stole from him. Of course he found the braclets, he also found crowns, relics, and just straight up gold coins.
" hey Red you find anything"
Mk yelled while coming towards the room. Red panicked and grabed the braclets, shoving them in his pocket.
"hey Red, oh look you found it"
"yep, you think he would have hid it better"
" well if Mei never noticed it then i'd say he did a pretty good job"
Red chuckled a little bit, just then Mei walked in.
" hey guys i'm all done tearing down all that junk"
Mei said annoyed.
" great well I should get this stuff back to my place then"
Red said grabing the bag, but as he was about to leave.
" Actually I was wondering if you two dont have anything going on tonight, wanna go out to get some food"?
Red was a bit confused by Meis request at first, but then he relized exactly what Mei was doing.
" well, I think I can convince pigsy to let me have the night off"
Mk said
" wonderfull Red"
"well im not to sure.."
red said attempting to say no in a polite way. But then he looked over at Mk, who seemed pretty excited about it.

"well..... I guess my work can wait"

"yay, see you all in front of pigsys at 7"?
Mei suggested
"okay"
"sure"
" alrighty then its settled"

later that night:

Red walked hastly down the sidewalk, he knew what Mei was trying to do and now he was more nervouse than ever. When pigsys place was in sight he put a hood and mask on as to not be seen by pigsy. He stood outside for a bit before Mei poped up.
"hello Red boy"
Mei said.
"bring any fancys gifts tonight"
Red sighed
"yes I brought them"
"hehe, this is going to be be awsome"
just then Mk walked out of the shop.
" hey guys you ready to head out"?
" oh yeah we are"!
"wooo"
"wooo"
And with they went off, they walked for a bit chatting along the way. Evetually they made it to the megtrapolis mall, they went out and got sweets and food galore. After they were stuffed they went off to the arcade, they played a few games threw up a few times and eventually decided to go to the park before heading home. while they were walking Mei and Red slowed down a bit as Mk ran of ahead beacuse he saw something.
" so when you gonna ask him"
Mei asked
"i dont know about this"
" hey you like Mk alot right"
" well, yeah"
" and you have the braclets"
"yeah"
"my man, its time to put ring on it"
Mei said attempting to hype Red up, Red just rolled his eyes in response.
" Alright im gonna 'go to the bathroom' and you make your move while i'm gone"
and with that Mei dragged Red back up to to Mk.
" hey guys what took you so long"
Mk asked
" oh it was nothing, actually ive gotta go so I'll be back in a bit"
Mei said while dashing off. leaving Red and Mk all alone with a request to make.

"soooo noodle boy how's life been"

"noodle boy? I thought we were past the dumb nicknames"
" well your still a noodle delievery boy, no"?
"whats wrong with being a delievery boy"
" nothing, nothing at all"
Red said while looking at mk, but after a bit he relized Mei was in the bushs right behind them. Mk by now noticed Red was staring at something and turned to see what he was looking at. But as he turned his Mei ducked behind a tree and Mk didnt see anything.
" hey uh I just remebered this real good spot that near the ocean"
Red said in an attempt to distract from mei.
"ooh, sounds cool"
Mk said as Red lead them off, Red kept an eye to side where Mei was following along. Eventually they made it to nice spot outlooking the sea. Red took a seat on a nearby bench and Mk hoped down next to him. For a few seconds they sat in silence looking out at the sea. Red took a glance around looking for Mei, he eventually spotted her off to the side. She signled something that red didnt quite understand but knew what she meant exaclty 'hurry up and ask him'. Red pulled out the braclest to his side, balled up all his courage and turned to Mk.
" so uh nood- I mean.. Mk"
"*le gasp* you used my name"!
" yeah, yeah don't let it get to your head"
"hehe"
"anyhow since you helped me find my stolen stuff, and some other reasons, I wanted to give you this"
Red pulled out the braclets and showed off the one with Mk's initails in it, Mk eyes lit up with pure excitment.
"Red is that what I think it is"!?

"wait you know what this is"?
Reds face became the same shade as his fire as he was filled with shock.

"yeah, its a fancy old relic"!

"......."
"......."

"Yep its some old fancy relic"

"OH C'MON"
Mei poped out from the bushs just then.
"Mei, I thought you went yoto the bathroom"?
"that is currently not important, first off, Red you need to learn to not be coward"!

"HEY"

"and you Mk are the dullest person alive"

"wait, what"

" for the love of god, he was trying to to ask you to be his boyfreind, my god"

"wait,HUH"!!??
