On the edge of a lake, near the valley of the Lanyru Ridge, was a village. An unassuming lakeside village, but known for being one of the last towns to keep an extensive library of magic books, and rumored to know the location of one of the most powerful pieces of all time. Rumored to be myths, nonexistent relics of a past tradition.

And yet, they arrived.

Agahnim, the most powerful Wizzrobe in the land, had joined forces with a small army of mercenaries and deserted soldiers, into forming a coalition. He was the only one that could wear a crimson and purple, with gold threading, denoting his rank and knowledge. His voice pierced the heart of another defenseless villager, his breath being sucked out of his lungs through dark magic, collapsing. "You historians know nothing! Nothing at all!"

The tip of his wizard staff emanated a dark evil aura, as he waved it in front of another librarian. The mercenaries he was accompanied with were ripping pages out of ancient tomes and texts, as they presented it to him, Agahnim asked mockingly, "How about you? Remember anything about the prophecy?" The pages were describing a transmorphing spell, which was interesting, but clearly not what he needed.

The wounded and panicked villager sputtered, "It's as old as the wind! Who can remember something like that? The Triforce isn't even real!"

Agahnim exploded in laughter, his purple eyed, golden circlet shining slightly. "Wrong! Oh so very wrong! It is very real...and what's more...I have seen it. I've witnessed its immense power."

"That can't be true! Please! We have no weapons...spare us!"

"There is no longer any time for sparing. Now, tell me where the Triforce of courage is! The wielder of the Triforce of power demands it!"

The man pleaded incessantly for his life, to which Agahnim responded by piercing his heart, killing him instantly.

And then, trumpets, footsteps. Agahnim knew exactly what that sound was: the arrival of a massive army. At its helm was the fearsome leader of the Gerudo Nomadic Tribe.

And he was not happy.

Agahnim exited the building and immediately fell to his knees when saw Ganondorf approaching, his black armor reflecting moonlight, doing very little to hide his muscular build and vibrant red hair covered by a many horned gold crown.

"May the great Demon King Ganondorf live eternally. Your majesty, if I may be so bold....I expected you to be here a moon's time from now."

Ganondorf asked, "Have you found it?" His tone of voice indicated he wasn't here for pleasantries.

"Ah! We have come close to it, your majesty. Believe me! The previous town gave us many—"

Ganondorf glared around the ransacked village and interrupted, "I've given you a small army. And you wasted time indulging in your sadism and magic. Why?"

The words stabbed his heart. "I'm grateful, oh great and powerful Ganondorf, for the army! But I assure you it was all necessary! For the betterment of your incredible army, and the location of the Triforce of Courage."

Lifting his wrist, Ganondorf clenched his fist, the Triforce of Power now permanently chained to the back of his hand, and muttered, "I can sense it. We are leagues away from it, Agahnim. It's faint, but I can feel it. It calls to me, now. I'm no fool. You've been misleading me."
Agahnim in a panic said, "No! Never, my lord! My magic and my Wizzrobes needed to have grown exponentially if only because you've grown so much in power. Please understand that the Courage Triforce has been sealed for millennia. It's difficult to say where in Hyrule it could be."

With a grimace Ganondorf slowly brought his glowing fist closer and closer to Agahnim's face. "I'm giving you one final chance, wizard. Remember what your purpose in all this is."

Agahnim bowed deeply and begged, "Of course! Of course! I long for the day in which you finally take the throne and rightfully rule over Hyrule."

Ganondorf nodded, "And when I am King of Hyrule, if you manage to convince me of your worth, you will be greatly rewarded."

Agahnim again, with sweat forming on his brow stammered, "I...I...I only wish to see you achieve your goals, King Ganondorf."

"You always know what to say Agahnim."
Ganondorf finally allowed him to move freely when he said, "Perhaps you may still be of some use to me, Wizard. Recently, I've been sensing another. Not the Triforce of Wisdom, nor it's wielder. But a third."

Agahnim nodded after dabbing his forehead. "The Courage Wielder? Has he awoken?"

"You tell me."

Agahnim lifted his staff to the sky after muttering some words that held no meaning to Ganondorf, he slammed his staff into the dirt and purple flames appeared showing shadowy figures and a thin man carrying a sword on his back. "The shadows' magic say it's true, Lord. He is dripping with courage."

"Then you know what you must do. We already know where the Triforce of Wisdom is. If the wielder has awoken, he must not reach it."

Agahnim waved his staff absorbing the smoke back into his long ashy staff. "He will not reach it. He will not find it. I will personally make sure of that."

Ganondorf smiled. "Do not fail me." He clenched his fist, the Triforce piece glowing bright and bludgeoned the ground, his fist getting buried into the dirt. The flowers and grass wilted, the still warm bodies of the fallen grew pale, thin, sickly and turned to dessicated bones. Agahnim lowered his eyes out of respect and said, "Shall I amass a new army for you, sir?"

The power of the Triforce pulsed in his hand. It gave him all the life that it absorbed, and felt his muscles stiffen, his skin tighten, his fiery hair even grew stronger. He grabbed his armor and tore it off. "Do what you will. I no longer need an army. I am the strongest warrior in Hyrule now." He chuckled softly. "Imagine what would happen with two pieces? I've been burdened with glorious, unimaginable power. I have a goal. And nothing will stop me now. Nothing."

Agahnim examined the bones and waved his staff across them. The bones suddenly began to shake and shudder, rebuild and, although no skin was on them, rusted smoky armor hung off their bodies and they began handling swords with ease.
"Find the wielder of courage. Kill him. Destroy him. Stop at nothing to rip his head off his shoulders."

The undead army clambered in unison as they marched in front of Agahnim, and Ganondorf asked, "Has the King responded to my messages?"

Agahnim hissed, "Nothing, sir."

Ganondorf felt the call of the Triforce of Wisdom burn within him. "Perhaps it's about time I pay him a visit."
