Aaron's pov

Did I have a case, No.

I lied, I know, I know. But with good cause. Tyler and Lisa want to make Flora a name partner in the firm. So of course I had to come to show how proud I am of my wife. I had Mia and Jack go out and get her a cake from her favorite bakery down town. I went out and got balloons with Athena last night. Now we're setting up in the break room.

They printed a paper that says she's getting promoted. Which also has her name at the bottom where it usually says Combs & King. It now says King, Combs & James. We finish putting the last set of streamers up.

"papa, nous avons fini" Jack says running over to me. Jack has been taking French lessons for a while now. We hired an instructor but Mia and Flora insist on making him speak French around them. He absolutely enjoys it.

"Awesome buddy, are you ready to surprise to surprise Mommy" I ask picking him up. He nods excitedly.

"Yes, does this mean Mommy will be happy?" He asks looking at me.

"Yes, she'll be really happy. This is a big deal for her. So we have to support her." I say and he nods.

"Alright is everyone ready?" Tyler asks

"Yea, who is gonna go get her from her office?" I ask picking Jack up.

"Can I do it?" Jack asks

"I don't see why not" Tyler says. I put Jack down and he walks with Tyler and Lisa to get Flora from her office. Kayla turns the lights off and gives everyone in arms reach a mini confetti popper.

"Alright now shut up, don't spoil the surprise or I'm taking Aaron's gun and shooting you myself." Mia says and I rest my hand on my belt where my gun sits in it's holster.

"Happy first day back" Lisa says leading Flora into the room with Tyler following. Tyler flips the switch to the light and everyone yells welcome back and pops the mini canons.

"Oh god" she says jumping back, which causes Athena to start crying.

"Oh baby, it's okay" she says. I walk up and she hands me the wailing baby.

"Rory, it's okay darling everything is okay" I coo rocking her back and forth. She eventually calms down and falls asleep again.

"Congratulations on your first day back baby" i whisper wrapping my arm around her shoulder, pressing a kiss to her temple.

"Thank you" she says blushing and leaning into my side.

"Mommy, Look at your cake" Jack says grabbing her hand and pulling her towards the cake.

'Welcome back'

"Thank you all so much" she says tears welling in her eyes. I hand her the piece of paper from my pocket.

'Dr. James,

We would like to give you this to show your progress through the time you been with us. As a whole we have decided to make you name partner of the firm. You are now standing in King, Combs & James: Family Law.

She finishes reading the paper and looks at Lisa and Tyler. They nod and Jack grabs her hand dragging her out of the room. I follow holding our daughter. Protecting her from the cold outside temperatures by wrapping her in her blanket.

Electra's pov

I'm a name partner. I'M A FUCKING NAME PARTNER. My name is on the outside of the building. I pick Jack up, spinning in a circle kissing his cheeks.
