A Month later

Its Kaylas birthday. Mia, Aaron and I have a dinner planned where we give her the gift we bought her.

Knocking on Kayla's door I open it.

"Good morning" I say then Mia runs in and jumps on her bed.

"Wake the fuck up its your birthday." She says shaking her awake.

"Oh my god, please stop" she pleads. Mia gives in and stops shaking her.

"I had Ma make you breakfast" I whisper putting the tray of food on the bed.

"Awe, thank you" she coos

"Eat up we have a busy day scheduled" Mia says.

"We do?"

"Yes, we do Aaron is taking us to some fancy restaurant that you can only get into with a government official, so we have to go buy dresses." I say.

"Cmon Mia we have to go get ready" I say. She gets up from the bed. Closing the door behind us we rush to my room where Aaron is waiting.

"Okay so shes eating now, can you go with Jason to get her gift" I say to him. (Mia, Jason and I are the only ones who know what Kayla's gift is.

"Sure also the reservation is at 6 so we have to be there 10 minutes early." He says putting his shoes on.

"That sounds great" Mia says. I look over and see a sleeping jack.

"I'll drop jack off at Jessica's when we're done shopping."

"Okay, I'll send you her number & address."

"Great" I say walking over to where he's standing. I pull him into a chaste kiss and Mia gags in disgust.

"Go, Jason is waiting" I say pulling away.

"Bye, see you later" he says walking out of the room.

"Electra that man is a simp" Mia says laughing.

"Sure, he is" I say in a joking tone.

"Im being serious, that man wants to have Mini Electras" she says

"Oh my god we've literally been dating for 2 months"I say

"And yet he trusts you with his kid. He lets you pick out his outfit and hides you from paps" she lists.

"Hes just protective." I defend

"No honey, he's in love with you!"

"Whoa the L word is absolutely insane" I say.

"Electra James, you mean to tell me you haven't noticed his heart eyes every time he looks at you, or how he smiles whenever you walk into a room. Or how he brings you flowers when he gets back from a case or when you go on a date." She says pointing to the dried flower bouquets hanging on the wall.

"Okay, you have a point, but to say he loves me is a lot" I say walking over to where Jack is laying on the bed.

"Oh my god, you love him" she says pointing at me and my cheeks go hot. Completely ignoring her I wake Jack up.

"Jack honey, time to get up" I whisper kissing his head.

"A few more minutes" he says in a sleepy state.

"You can sleep in the car on the way-" he cuts me off.

"No, I don't want to leave" he says mood instantly changing. Tears brimming his eyes.

"Oh honey, you're not leaving we're going to the mall it's Kayla's birthday" I coo pulling him into my arms.

"Awe" Mia says. Wiping the few tears that fell from his face.
