Electra's pov

Its 5 am im awoken by a knock on the door. I move quickly and quietly so jack and Athena aren't woken up.

I open the door its a uniform officer.

"Sorry to bother you at such an odd hour but are you Mrs. James Hotchner.?" He asks with a solemn look on his face.

"Yes" I answer hesitantly.

"Your husband was just found on the side of the highway." He says

"Im not understanding your point, Aaron went on a run"

"He was found dead" he says and I slam the door. before I get a chance to walk away he knocks again.

"Ma'am we need you to come with us to identify his body" he says through the door so I open it again.

"You must have the wrong house sir" I say still not believing him. Then he pulls out Aarons credentials and his gun.

"No, there is no way" I say on the verge of tears. At this point I was loud enough that Mia and Kayla heard me and came down the steps.

"What's going on" Mia asks

"This man is playing some cruel joke saying Aaron is dead" I say letting a few tears slip.

"All im asking is if she comes to the hospital to identify his body" he says to Mia and Kayla. Mia pulls me away from the door and Kayla talks to the officer.

"This is all a sick joke right, there is no way Aaron is dead. I refuse to believe it." I say

"Either way we have to go. Flo lets just hope we get there and its not him, okay" she says checking on jack in his room. He's sound asleep.

"Okay" I say and I walk to my room and grab my robe. I put is on and grab my Gucci slides.

Walking out of my closet Kayla and mia are waiting for me.

"The cop gave me the address and said he would wait for you there" Kayla says.

"Ill pull the car around" Mia says walking to the garage.

20 minutes later we arrive at the Hospital

Mia and I get out the car. Kayla stayed back incase jack or Athena woke up. We walk into the building. The cop is standing by the entrance.

"Mrs. Hotchner" he says. I can't speak. All I can think is this real? Am I dreaming.

"Okay, um follow me" he says and walks down a hall way. We make a series of turns before we get on the elevator to the bottom floor. Its cold and smells like death. I dont like it, it brings me back to when my dad died. After a few seconds the elevator dings and we all get off. He walks down a hallway then stops at a door. He opens the door and there is a technician waiting for us.

"This is the wife of the body we found earlier" he says and the tech nods. The tech gets up and walks over to the wall and opens one of the compartments. They pull the tray out and uncover his face. I don't look, I look anywhere but the tray in front of me.

"Oh god" Mia says and walks out of the room.

"Ill give you a moment alone" the technician says and walks out with the cop following. Once the door closes I muster up a little bit of courage and look at the body on the tray. A sob, a loud sad sob. Its Aaron, he's actually dead.
